“Let me guess—Fiona didn’t let you leave the house dressed all good, right?”
I refused to take the bait.
“So it wouldn’t be so bad if you cuddled up to the twin brother, right? That way, you could just claim you didn’t know.”
I said darkly, cracking up at my own joke, but Chiara actually shuddered instead.
“No thanks. I’ll pass on that offer. Dark and dangerous guys aren’t really my milieu. And that Jaxon is darkkkkkkk.”
She stretched the word dramatically.
I finished dressing, touched up my makeup, and let down my long brown curly hair.
