Once Eloise and Sasha were out of sight, Ciela sat beside Gabriel and leaned sweetly against him. “Eloise already knows Chloe likes Cosmoo. But why doesn’t she seem to care? He nodded once. “I’ll be here.” She hesitated. Then smiled softly. “Okay.” The call ended and the moment the screen went dark— Chloe turned to her in silence. Elias questioned, leisurely sitting on the couch and staring at Chloe like he was about to butcher her. "No...no, that's not what I mean," Chloe stammered. The fear in her eyes couldn't be mistaken. Alasdair and Sebastian couldn't be any more confused than they currently were. Who was Elias that made Chloe so afraid of him. Wasn't she meant to be scared of the both of them? Chloe gulped as she held her bleeding arm tighter, to stop herself from saying the wrong word.

Chase defended. "Daddy, Uncle is bigger than me. He has cheated. He has cheated ahhh ahhh..''Eli sobbed. His tears cannot be seen, the drops of water on his face made it difficult to differentiate between the tears and the water. "You are a little rascal, Eli. Everyone saw us and can testify that I won. “Emerson! Damn that girl is something else. Have y’all seen that ass?” Quinn literally growled at that. He felt like an animal that was about to be let out of the cage after years of imprisonment. “Oh dude, you don’t wanna go there.” Elias told him, laughing. “I mean, I just called Asher but you’d already talked to him. And said make sure to bring that hot babe with him.” Chase was still talking. “You wanna get out here man? It might be safer!” Elias was enjoying this way too much. But Quinn was still trying to put two and two together. He would knock the shit out of Chase later.

The statement was simple, but in this world, it was a formidable credential. “This is Carlos,” Eli continued. “Their protector on the road. A skilled fighter, from what I’m told.” Marcus, standing at the back with his arms crossed, gave another nod of confirmation.
