My grandfather had been dead for years. Marcus looked just as surprised as I felt. The stranger continued watching me carefully. As though measuring my reaction. "You knew him?" I whispered. "Very well." I stared at him. Trying to determine whether he was lying. Trying to understand what was happening. The stranger slowly reached into his coat. Instantly, half a dozen weapons aimed directly at his chest. "Easy." He froze. Then carefully withdrew a small object. Not a weapon. A photograph. He held it out. Marcus stepped forward and took it first.

She never managed to take the first step. Black smoke slowly escaped from the stranger’s sleeve—it wasn’t ordinary magic, nothing the hybrids had ever seen. It was alive. It moved like a serpent, silent and fast. It reached the girl in an instant, entering through her mouth, her nostrils, her eyes. The young woman widened her eyes, tried to scream, but no sound came out. She brought her hands to her neck, falling to her knees in the snow. Her entire body began to shake violently. But my feet refused to move. I was frozen, trapped by horror and a terrible, mesmerizing fascination. The stranger stopped. His head tilted slightly, and a low growl rumumbled in his throat, a sound that was not human. Then his shoulders began to shake. I frowned, confusion mixing with my terror. Was he sick? Was he having a seizure? His body suddenly jerked, a violent spasm that racked his entire frame. I stumbled backward, my heart in my throat. A strange cracking sound came from somewhere inside him, the sound of bones breaking and reshaping. My hand flew over my mouth to stifle a scream.

The boys quickly formed a defense stance behind each other giving me the chance to look at the source of such a strong voice. The tattooed stranger! “And who are you to tell us that?” The leading guy asked, his voice hard unlike that of a teenager he is. “Someone who can break your bones and dumb them in a police cell if you don’t leave this minute” he threatened It’s highly unhealthy how his strong command makes my painties wet in the face of danger. One by one, they looked at their bodies that were suddenly bleeding. Then, all of a sudden, their entire bodies just fell down, cut into pieces that instantly stunned everyone who saw them. "Wh-what is this?" asked Lucas, who was obviously shocked to see what was happening here. Seeing the body parts of his subordinates. Some people even looked conscious but were already dying. There was no way they could be helped.
