The sisters knelt quietly while prayer chants rose gently through the air. Christiana lowered her head. Tried to focus. Failed immediately. Because across the chapel— Father John stood near the altar reading from the prayer book. And even from a distance, she could see it. The tension in him. "You need to read it more. Promise, you will love Van when you once you go to the amazing parts!" Christian nodded his head. " Yeah, I will definitely read it and have another semi debate about you." For some reason. I find him interesting... because we read the same book.

Christian had gotten tired of waiting up for her,so he decided to head to the entrance, he soon began to hear voices coming and guess it must be Lily. Striking a cold face, he quietly sat down reading his magazine. He listened carefully, and waited till when she was closed. Lily on her own was shocked to see Christian, she thought he would be in the office, hiding her expression and she quickly smiled and looked at him. "Back so soon" she asked, looking at the kind of magazine he was holding. " Why ? You planned on bringing in your lover " he said in an annoying tone.

"In the meanwhile, I will ask one of my men to take care of the company." I return his smile and look forward. "What's that?" Christian looks at the paper I have my eyes on. He quickly gets out of the car and takes the paper reading it. His whole body tenses and his eyes become hard. He marches into the car. "What's wrong Christian?" He does not answer and starts the car. He drifts out of the place. His knuckles turning white and his vein visible on his forehead. He speeds through the roads of Seattle. "Christian, you're scaring me." I let out softly. "What was in that note? Are you okay?"

As for Christian, his face instantly became dark and horrible, as if he had eaten sh*t. “Why? Do you still want us to rally people?”

Always attentive. Christian rewarded her staff a grin that gives her glimpses of Vren. There was no denying their blood relation. The good looks and the playful mischief runs in the family. She blinks, turning her attention back to the swooning people on the table. “We all know Christian Parkinson is the editor in chief of Bachelor which rivaled and partnered with our Sassy in more ways than one.”

Christian flinched so hard the chains shook. “Wrong answer.” “I swear!” “Names.” “I never met them!” “But you heard things.” Silence again. I could practically see the internal war happening inside him. Talk and die. Or refuse and suffer longer before dying anyway. Personally, I would have chosen the quicker option. Unfortunately for him, Christian was stubborn. Or stupid. Possibly both. “There's a woman,” he whispered finally. I stilled.“A woman?” I repeated. He nodded shakily. “She handles private clients.”

“Your filthy, uncontrolled spawn is just blowing ash now, just like you’ll be, the second I--” “The second you what?” he taunts, breathing hot air right up against my snarling lips. “I’m an expert at reading people, I will have you know.” He strokes his thumb teasingly low on my stomach, down toward my treacherous, rising hard on. The second we’re in close enough proximity, the thing wakes up and refuses to be put back to rest, not until it’s spent. “And you remain so very easy to read,” Christian gloats. “I spotted your proclivities in an instant, remember? I can see your every conflict, and I can see most clearly…” He smiles. “You still haven’t reported me to your superiors, love.”
