Christina was pushed on a wheelchair towards me. Our eyes met, and she was moved further, but her face didn't twitch. I couldn't tell if she was glad to see me, or not. “Hi,” I whispered gently, “What are you doing here?” She growled at me. I looked to her mother for some sort of comfort. “Christy dear, this is Leah Irving. She has come to see you.” “I know who she is,” Christina snarled. Her nose flared, and her eyes were bloodshot.

My eyes widen and my mouth drops open when I see Christina. "Hi hon." Dad says, greeting her with a quick kiss. "This is my son, Nick. He wants to talk with you." Christina is vigorously attacking the rowing machine, beads of sweat hanging off her smooth skin, and she is completely naked. "You're early." She says, smiling at us, without slowing down her rowing. "I haven't finished my workout." She's not at all what I expected. She's much younger than I thought she'd be; probably mid-twenties. Her face, surrounded by bleached blonde hair, is beautiful. She has high cheekbones, a luscious mouth and big, blue eyes that sparkle when she smiles.

I turned to look at Christina. " Christina , I seriously appreciate you putting up this show for us . We really enjoyed it but now please see yourself out because we have a dinner to complete." I said in a calm voice. Christina's jaw dropped and Nick looked at me shocked. " What ? " , She said, shocked. " You heard me." I said. " Do you think you can order me to leave Nick's house? I am his girlfriend." She emphasized on 'Nick's' " And I am his wife ! " I retorted.

A young woman approached, her steps confident and light, a small smile playing at her lips. She was dressed in black leather armor, her dark hair braided tightly, and a sword rested casually at her hip. "Lady Serena," she said, bowing slightly. "I'm Kiara. Beta of the Blood Moon Pack." Serena blinked in surprise. She hadn’t expected to see a woman among the warriors—and certainly not holding the high rank of Beta.

Now I would be able to leave the pack. I turned and walked away, returning to my room. The moment I sat on my bed, Christina rushed in. To my shock, she dropped to her knees before me and bowed her head deeply, startling me. I jumped to my feet, shaken to the core. I walked over to her and tried to help her up, but she refused. Instead, she said, “I will kneel here until you change your mind about stepping down as Luna and give that vile mother and daughter the chance to rule this pack.”

"Her name is Christina." Lance nodded then turned his attention back to her. "Ti piace?" Christina asked as a broad smile spread across her face. She was only eighteen too young to be dealing with this disease.
