Christmas Movies Like Die Hard Mga Nobela at Kwento

Cody “Anyone fancy going out?” I ask the guys who look happy enough sitting in front of the television. We’ve moved on to the next movie, Die Hard 2 made in 1990 and it’s so surreal to think that Bruce Willis was making movies before I was even born. The man is an absolute legend, alongside Keanu Reeves, he is a super hero in my book.

Dolly’s POV If heartbreak had a cure, Lena was convinced it came in three forms: Hot chocolate so sweet it could induce a coma. Christmas movies so stupid they rewrote your brain chemistry. Avoiding all adult responsibilities until January. Which was how I ended up being dragged downstairs the next evening, half-asleep, half-resisting, fully doomed. “Come on, wounded penguin,” Lena said, tugging me by the wrist. “Movie night waits for no emotional wreck.”

Possible titles of favorite movies raced through my thoughts as I opened the door and flipped the switch. The room filled with ambient lighting, the kind that can be illuminated while a movie or TV show played without distracting from the screen. I didn’t need brighter lighting. No chance to leave the house. “I’m not free,” I said softly. “My family is having people over.” “I see…” he said. He sounded disappointed. “I know it’s short notice, but… I didn’t want to spend Christmas alone. I thought maybe I could spend it with you.” My breath stopped for a moment. He wanted to spend Christmas… with me?

Nathaniel's POV The soft glow of the candles Annie had scattered around the living room wrapped the whole space in this warm, cozy atmosphere that felt like the perfect counterpoint to the icy December chill outside. We were sunk into her couch, each holding a mug of hot chocolate, watching one of those completely predictable Christmas movies that play nonstop this time of year. On-screen, the hero was sprinting through an airport to catch the woman he'd fallen madly in love with after what… two weeks? A dramatic soundtrack swelled behind him. Annie laughed, almost choking on her drink.
