She looks from him to Dante who hadn't moved during the ordeal. "No... please Goddess, no..." she crawled over to him, nudging him, "Dante, get up." she demanded of him, but he didn't move. She looks down at his stomach, seeing the black ichor substance staining his skin slowly, "You won't take him from me to." She placed her hands over the wounds, opening her mouth to chant the spell she just casted, but the words escaped her mind. She fought through her racing thoughts to find the words, but they wouldn't come to her. She leans over his face, blood streaming from his lips, "I don't understand. You're a Vampire... You can't die from this!" she shouted, hitting his chest out of frustration.

While she was looking for answers to her questions, something caught her eye. "A black cape? Long-sleeved white shirt? And a red bow?” Cyrille's eyes begin to widen. "This is how a vampire dresses in classic Dracula films!" she exclaimed. “Oh my—” She couldn't finish her words and immediately covered her mouth to keep from shouting. She was overjoyed with the mixed emotions she was experiencing at the time, and she couldn't believe that after days of fruitless hunting, she'd have the good fortune to meet a vampire.

I wanted to grow. “Sebastian has never shown interest in anyone at court, and now to have a blood bond with a gifted vampire.” And she took the bait. I loved being devious. It took so little effort to manipulate others to do my dirty work. “A vampire that can freeze time.” She looked up at me. “Do you think if she were strong enough, Sarah could freeze an entire army or everyone in the castle if she wanted to?” “With the way Sebastian has been pushing her. I think she is stronger than we know.”

Nico just scoffed, "Believe me, Xander, I'm pretty sure you can lie out of this one, plus Layla may be a Bronwyn but she's not a genius." My brows furrowed as he said that. She must be the Lord's daughter. I didn't even know he had a daughter. "I heard my name!" An unfamiliar voice sang out. All three of us turned our heads to the left to see who said it. A blonde vampire strut towards us, smiling as we all looked at her. Xander quickly sat up straighter as she approached. I leaned back against Nico out of nervousness, but couldn't help but look over her features.

I noticed a small couch in a corner and took a seat on it. "Do you always watch me every night?" She suddenly asked me breaking the silence. "Since you got attacked," I confirmed and she nodded. "You're quite calm for someone who just learned that completely fictional characters actually exist," I pointed out. I've noticed ever since I told her that I was a vampire she kept a calm expression as if she's been told the exact same thing her whole life. "I really don't know either. I just feel this weird sense of belonging." That's probably the effect of the sacred book on her. She's the chosen one so she'd naturally feel attached to our species without even knowing.

Immediately, the two vampires began rubbing their faces into the side of the women’s necks. The third female had bright red hair and soft, angelic features. Valentin’s stomach dropped as he realized it was Zahara. His heart pounded out of his chest. He didn’t know she’d been Renatus’s latest obsession. He thought she was safe, confined to the walls of Aveline’s chambers as her waiting maid.

She reluctantly sat there, looking at the Goddess in front of her. "Give me your hand," Hecate offered, showing the girl her upturned palm. She placed hers in it, a little surprised at the coldness meeting her skin. "You are grieving. Your heart has been broken by the vampire," the Goddess' voice sounded ominous and powerful, suddenly coming from all around her. Diana's breath hitched in her throat. The Goddess wrapped her hand around hers, her sharp and black nails quickly sinking into Diana's skin like tiny blades, drawing blood. Diana let out a pained mewl, eyes widening with alarm.
