AUTHOR’S POV: Flashback It’s been five years since little Blair made it to the slums, even though she was young she learned survival skills from her father so it was a bit easy for her to survive in the open world. She barely spoke she either nodded or shook her head when asked a question so she was referred to as a dumb child. No one adopted her from the shelter because she behaved strangely but she had children almost her age who treated her nicely, They introduced her to the metal finding work which they did to get their daily meal. She joined them and made good money, but her joy wasn’t for long.

Strung across a rope next to the cabin is a row of large sized clothes, probably left to dry out by whoever lives here. I tiptoe as quietly as possible toward the rope, grab a pair of oversized jeans and pull them on hurriedly. Holding the waistline up with one hand, I take a massive shirt and toss it over my head. As the cloth slides over my head effortlessly, my attention is drawn to movement slipping out of the cabin. A small brown Chihuahua. For a second, I freeze. It stares at me with a blank expression, its ears twitching at random. I hold my breath, and with good reason; if it barks, I’m screwed.

He pointed to the chair in front of us, which was empty and had remained vacant since Bobby Melville got sent to the principal's office for burning his partner, Sammy Snells, with acid and ended up expelled. I shook my head. "Hey, Charming. No. Go ahead." "Cool." He sat and inclined his chin toward Cindy. "Hi, Cindy. Did you have fun at the Cape?" I heard her swallow before answering and was surprised. It shocked me to think of Cindy as nervous. I thought she said she wasn't interested. "Oh, yeah. It was a blast," she answered, twisting her ponytail around her fingers. A light breeze blew in from the window. Thankful, I pulled in another large breath of air and froze.

She cut herself and held out her hand in the air, so the blood dropped into the sacred bowl. " Hold your hands together so the cuts meet," he said. I turned and faced her, her pretty face was a charm on its own and I found myself struggling to concentrate. I stretched out my hands to her, she did the same and placed her cut palm on mine. A spark was felt and I knew she felt it as well. The fire began to burn so well. Our wolves began to collide and I was struggling to breathe. It seemed the two wolves were trying to become one and we were the ones being affected by it.

Cindy had on a pile of make-up and a red-wig, and it wasn’t the red wig Mindy had given her. When Cindy got back in the car, Mindy asked what was going on and where were they going. Cindy begged her patience and assured her that everything would become clear. They were in the downtown area of Phoenix. They parked on the street. Cindy walked Mindy to a building that looked like it had glass for walls. They got on the elevator and went to the twelfth floor. There were two businesses on the floor; Grassroot Technology and Boots Dating Service. “Oh, no,” Mindy groaned when she saw the dating service doors. “You brought me here to sign up for a dating service?”

Then she reached down and squeezed the bulge in my trousers, "Or we can skip going out and just get it on now. You know that you can't go the whole time Donny is gone without me getting you in my bed, at least as long as you stay here. What do you say, want to cut right to the chase?" I pushed her away from me and went to grab a sport coat. It was one of the worst evenings of my life. The bar she drove us to was jam-packed and had a loud and noisy rock and roll band. We were no sooner in the door when some guy Cindy knew grabbed her by the hand and pulled her to the dance floor. Cindy had been live streaming for over two months and had gained considerable popularity on Tigernet, currently ranking in the top 100. Her success had even earned her an invitation to participate in the highly anticipated "Tigernet Night - Carnival of the Top 100 Internet Celebrities" event.
