The Alpha's Witch Mate

The Alpha's Witch Mate

"Oh no",Serena whispered. "We've been gone for too long". The scene that met their eyes when they emerged from the ocean was devastating. Red City was in ruins. Houses were on fire. Enormous orange flames roared to the sky, licking up the buildings. Black tree trunks, burnt beyond recognition littered the grounds and the air was thick with smoke and flying ashes. Thick black smoke billowed out of the destroyed buildings. Some were collapsed to rubble and the ground was littered with red substance. Blood!

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

The bay is beautiful, its waters sparkling blue under the afternoon sun. I can’t say the same for the city. Much of it looks like a war zone, with bombed out buildings and whole blocks that are nothing more than charred rubble. Portals opening undoubtedly caused a lot of the structural damage—this close to The Incident, there must have been dozens, if not hundreds that opened up in its aftermath. I can’t know for sure, but I’m guessing the burned areas might have resulted from ruptured gas lines or fuel stations that then burst into flames. At first glance, the city seems like a deserted ghost town, but every now and then I spot dark, unrecognizable forms flitting through the shadows. I have

The Alpha’s Moonbreather

The Alpha’s Moonbreather

The ground above gave way with a sound like the world splitting open. Stone, water, and shattered moonlight burst through the streets of Archview as the ruins beneath the city finally collapsed. Buildings cracked down their spines. Towers leaned, then broke. People screamed and ran as the earth buckled beneath their feet. And from the heart of the destruction, two figures erupted into the open air.

LOVE, RUINS AND ASHES.

LOVE, RUINS AND ASHES.

I muttered the words under my breath as I touched my face with a hand. It'd been over seven years since I was involved in that fire accident, however the burn had scarred my face. I tilted my face to the side to get a better look at the scar. It made my skin appear like a crumpled piece of paper. I'd tried to hide the scar by wearing a make-up, but it was still visible as though I did nothing. “Argh!” I yelled, and smashed the mirror on the tiled floor. It shattered. I leaned my back against the wall and buried my face in my palms as I began to sob. Before long, my mother stormed into my room.

Ruin Me,King Owen

Ruin Me,King Owen

A cold breeze crawled beneath my skin, making me shiver in the open. I moved forward while they all followed behind. The narrow road led us to the city we once left. Beautiful, glamorous, and a busy city. At least that was the picture I had of it, only if I knew the city had died the moment Morgana stepped into the city again. The once glamorous, beautiful tall glass buildings had now collapsed, with different parts of the glass all scattered on the road. Fire rose from buildings afar, with the smell of burnt ashes filling the whole air instead of the normal fresh smell of nature.

University of the Damned

University of the Damned

Leaving Blackthorn At the shattered main gates where the nightmare had begun, the three survivors paused. Kael looked back at the ruined campus — smoke rising, bodies everywhere, the place that had once been his entire world. “Everything I knew is gone,” he said quietly. Serena took his hand. Damien took the other. “Then we make a new world,” she whispered. They stepped through the broken gates into the outside world. The City of the Damned The highway leading into the city was a graveyard of abandoned cars, overturned trucks, and corpses. Fires burned unchecked in the distance. The once-bustling metropolis of Eldridge City was now a silent tomb under a blood-red sky.

A Love Worth Fighting For

A Love Worth Fighting For

The fate of their world awaited them within those ancient walls. The air hung heavy with the scent of dust and decay as they stepped through the crumbling archway, the city’s entrance yawning before them like a forgotten maw. Giant, moss-covered stones, intricately carved with symbols Lyra recognized from the cavern murals, formed the walls, their surfaces slick with age and the relentless creep of vegetation. The city wasn’t merely ruined; it was actively reclaiming itself, nature’s relentless tide eroding the remnants of a once-proud civilization.

Marked in the Middle

Marked in the Middle

The city of Viremont had never been quiet until now. For the first time in living memory, no howls broke the night, no engines roared through the cracked streets, no gunfire echoed through the hills. Just silence, thick and almost unnatural, like the city was holding its breath after everything it had endured. I stood on the roof of the Haven, watching smoke drift from what was left of the eastern blocks. The morning light filtered through it in pale beams, turning the ruins gold for a few fleeting seconds. Beauty, buried under ruin.

The Forgotten Heiress: Rise of The Lycan Queen

The Forgotten Heiress: Rise of The Lycan Queen

The city that had once shimmered like gold in the morning light now lay draped in ash and dust, its grandeur reduced to piles of ruin that whispered of laughter long vanished. Elara Flameborne stood atop the crumbling eastern wall, the wind tugging at her cloak’s singed hem. Below her, the spires lay fractured, their once-proud stones jagged against a bruised sky. Temple roofs had caved in, leaving altars exposed to rain and ruin. Gardens that once bloomed with every shade of flower now smoked in tangled vines of charred ivy. Statues, heroes and gods alike were decapitated, their heads rolled among debris stained with dust and blood. Shards of crimson glass, ripped from cathedral windows, gl

Abigail shouted. She had someone to open a box. "I fixed your suit. At least take a look!" I glanced at it briefly. The torn areas of the suit had been mended with gold thread, but the once-refined design was completely ruined and looked gaudy. "I already said that I don't want it. No matter how much I once liked something, once it's damaged, it's ruined," I said. I looked at her coldly. "Abigail, I don't love you anymore. I'm Grace's fiance. Please show some respect from now on."
