--- The City That Remembered Light spread through the streets, soft and golden. People woke to find themselves crying, laughing, embracing. They didn’t understand why, only that they felt alive. The Fire Gardens bloomed again, their blossoms pushing through cracks in the streets. Liora stood beside Solan in the square, watching as the city glowed with rebirth. He looked at her, voice hoarse. “What will happen now?” She smiled faintly. “Now they’ll learn. They’ll hurt. They’ll heal. They’ll live.”

This town is definitely a city, none the less. "Wow..." Macy mouth hangs open at the sight of tall, new buildings being built as we enter the city. "I don't remember it being this big..." she gasps. Philip frowns. Only a few days ago had the two left me on the farm alone and went into the city to pick up some supplies. He places a hand on her lap and weakly smiles saying, "yes you do. We were here a few days ago, remember?" Macy's eyebrows knit together in utter confusion. When we stop at a red light, the two gaze into each others eyes while she tries to recall her recent trip. Just as she's about to respond, she shuts her mouth and nods her head slightly.

I walked through the short dark tunnel until I got deep inside of the manhole, a new and small city. I breathed out in relief and walked into the city. Kids were running around and playing their games. They were all happy and they haven't stopped because it is never late in this city. Lights were everywhere so it wasn’t dark at all. One would think we were still at noon but indeed, it was almost midnight. In this new city, most of us are females. Many of us, including the kids and adults, are all females. Some of the adult females were seated at one corner of the building.

We were in a vast, self-contained realm of perfect stillness and blinding light. Before us lay the City of Glass. The civilization was built entirely of crystalline, structured light massive, impossible spires that defied gravity. The air was inert, shimmering with pure, focused Light energy. There were no shadows, no noise, and no movement, yet the entire city hummed with latent power. The inhabitants were the Luminar beings of solid, perfect Light, their bodies geometric and constantly shifting color. They stood silently, watching us. Their collective consciousness was a single, intense beam of scrutiny.

I asked, aghast. “At Wit's End.” He winked, summoning a smoking cigar. He took a contemplative drag, pointedly blowing the smoke in my face. “Where sanity ends, and the magic begins. This, dear maggot, is the City of Luz.” The constellation of visions spinning before me made me grow faint. My brain began to process the soaring heights of the city before us. The beauty was overwhelming. I barely held on to consciousness.

CHAPTER 12 a boy who's age at six roaming the capital of Luminous the Lightior. Lightior was the only capital of Luminous kingdom but it was huge and vast. Merchants all around the connecting soils took Lightior as their rendezvous of their business. The king who ruled the Luminous openheartedly gave access to all merchants who pass and go and settled with in the capital. Luminous is a kind kingdom. A very hospitable and respectable place. The people with in the kingdom of Luminous was adored by the wanderer and onlookers. They were kind, compassionate and caring. Mayhem City is a combination of contradictions, the light and the dark, the rich and the poor, and the oppressor and the oppressed. There are things in the air, gliding, flying; they are too huge to be birds. They look somehow human but not quite, given their horns and bat-like wings. In the outskirts of the city, one unfortunate human who dared to be out on the streets after the daylight has now become their prey. A group of those winged creatures drained his blood and left him on the ground to die.
