She added "Are mum and dad around?" Maya asked "Mum left right before you came in, you must have missed her. She has a court case to win and dad? should be somewhere inside preparing for his night shift" Claire replied and opened the front door. "See you at dinner!" Maya yelled and just like that, Claire was gone leaving just us three in the kitchen. Watching their easy sibling banter made me ache in ways I didn’t like to acknowledge. Although I was glad to have an older sister figure in my life even if we weren't related.

After a while, he finished talking, looked at me again, and frowned. "Why are you standing there? Come here," he commanded. I sighed. I smiled and walked towards him, swaying my hips. "I'm home, honey! I'm sorry, I thought you were busy, so I waited for you to finish talking on the phone," I said to him. I sat on his lap and touched his cheek. Claire told me that she's a sweet woman to her husband, even though he doesn't show any affection for her. My heart almost stopped beating when Liam looked at me with his sharp eyes. He didn't even touch my waist while I was sitting on his lap. He just stared at me as if he were disgusted.

All these traits put together and the much income she generated for the city overweighed the ruinous that was associated with her. Soon, Claire arrived at her driveway.
