The pupils sitting in the first row seemed uneasy and hardly talking to each other. A girl stood up from the circle of girls in the middle of the classroom, walked to Thandi and said “ Good morning, welcome to 9a. I’m Pretty, the class rep. I hurriedly climbed up the stairs where the ‘A’ section of the building was. I walked through the hallway looking for class A232. I was getting impatient.
