Let me rest in the arms of our great moon goddess." Cody cries and kisses his father's cheek. He has no words to say back to him. He is in shock that his hero has fallen today. Chief Wolfpaw's breath leaves him, and I can see Cody's chest tighten from where I am standing. I can only hold Maximus off for so long. Cody uses his hand and closes his father's eyes. The great green dragon takes Chief Wolfpaw's body away from the battlefield. He carries Cody away from the scene and Cody's heart is broken.

Cody shifted into his wolf, he was big but not as big as Aiden, and not as angry. Aiden lunged for his neck, he only just managed to move out of the way in time. He snapped his jaws as Aiden moved passed him, feeling the air rush past his ear. Aiden turned and the two wolves circled one another. Cody snapped low aiming for Aiden’s front leg at the same time Aiden tore a chunk from the shoulder Alys had stabbed. They backed off once again circling. Blood was dripping from Cody’s wound. Cody had not hit anything major on Aiden’s front leg, but he was still losing blood from the gash. The steel in their hands was shining brightly to the point it was blinding.

Freddie yelled in a whisper and wiped his hand on his shirt while Arthur had a victorious smirk on his face. Arthur was the biggest of them all with a super muscular body and a big beard but he certainly wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Freddie was the most passionate about the job. He would do whatever he was ordered to do and he could shoot. That made him the perfect cop. Cody was the smartest. He knew his way around tech and computers. He was five foot five with a skinny build. He was the only dark skinned man among them. “What’s the status?” Wade asked Cody, ignoring the childish banter. Cody looked back briefly before going back into the computer screen.

No longer a brace-face, his hair was longer and styled upwards, his eyes looked brighter, he was no longer and skinny and lanky guy but instead was pretty well built and much, much taller now. I had to admit, Cody was really, really attractive now which was weird seeing considering we always knew him as the nerdy, brace face, little boy.

I mean Cody has over forty-five thousand followers and growing. “Those guys, right? Their goofy grins and take a look at Atlas, jeez my brother is such a geek sometimes.” Atlas has made his eyes crossed and has his tongue sticking out with his fingers in a V behind Cody’s head. “I don’t think they’ll ever grow up.”
