Covey answered without any stuttering. “Bullsh*t! I don’t know who you are, neither do I care about who you are, you better keep your mouth clean!” Zack yelled out of anger. Covey raised his head to look at Zack, Covey was mad as Zack’s the one who got him into trouble.

As soon as Lyric entered, two men and two women came up to join us. “Hey, man.” Spoke a tall blonde man with humongous bulging muscles and a scar that ran from his right temple down to his chin. His eyes were a mix between icy blue and grey and he looked to be in his early thirties. He was also wearing a pair of black trousers and a black V-neck with its sleeves rolled up to his elbows, exposing arms full of tattoos. “Is she your girl?” “Yeah.” Lyric turned to me with a smile. “Lydia, this is Cody Thunder. Cody, Lydia McKenzie. Cody works as the Mayor’s bodyguard and he’s a part-timer here.”

Christy stares at me with a questioning look on her face. " He..." " I am Zack Mickelson, a friend of Tony, the only friend he has, in other words, his best friend," He interrupted me and stretch out his hands to Christy. Christy smiled faintly and gave him her hands and they both shook hands, then Zack kissed the back of her hands lightly. "Christy Brown, I have heard so much about you but there is one detail he left behind," He said as he stares at her with a grin.

The stark contrast between his online persona and the man I knew in private was jarring. That’s when I stumbled upon a photo of Zack and Mr. Smith. Curious, I clicked on Mr. Smith’s profile. His bio revealed that he was a renowned stylist and fashion designer. I browsed through his posts, which showcased his work with various celebrities, including Zack. One post caught my eye—it was a behind-the-scenes photo from our wedding, and the caption read: “Designing the groom’s look for the big day. Honored to work with @ZackSamuels.”

I try to make myself sound reasonable. Cody sits down on the sofa and drinks the black tea after I hand it to him. “ He is my father’s cousin. His father is my dead grandfather’s nephew.” I nod. “ So you are not very close. His black stockings were held up with ribbon garters. My guest was put together and had an air of authority about him. I didn’t bother asking him who he was or on who’s orders brought him to my room. I knew who he was without explanation. If he worked for my captor than this man couldn’t be any better than him. I shouldn’t heave any expectations, but I couldn’t help but be a curious. He held a roll of parchment and a feather beneath his arm. His cheeks flushed beneath my unyielding gaze and he cleared his throat. When he realized I would not be speaking he bowed his head. “My name is Odis Valor, I am the Beta of Crimson Moon pack. Your humble servant,” Odis said.

Kade growls warningly but the blonde just laughs. "Don't be like that, I just thought you'd like to know who's going to be looking after your mate when you're dead." Kade turns towards him and the guy just lifts a gun, pointing it straight at my forehead and carries on talking as though he isn't. "I'm Jeff by the way. You've got to tell me, is she a good fuck? I've seen you two at it a couple of times and I've got to say, she looks like she knows what she's doing. I don't mind a bit of dominance between the sheets. I may not be able to take back what was done to her, but I could at least make those men pay. Took a little time, but I managed to find every single one and give them the deaths they so greatly deserved. The only one left was Zephyr. The one who started it all.
