"Why don't you go tell your boss to show his fucking face and stop hiding like a coward?"
The man let out a loud laugh, clearly amused by my bravado. "My boss isn't a coward, and he definitely doesn't need to hide his face," he retorted. "I suggest you be careful of what you say, because you wouldn't want to annoy him."
I stood my ground, my eyes locked with his. "I'm not afraid of your boss, or anyone else in this godforsaken place," I declared. "I'll find a way out of here, and when I do, I'll make sure he pays for what he's done to me and my family."
