The Alpha’s Rejected Luna
Luna heard the commotion in the hallway before she saw him - boots on stone, low voices, the sharp scent of blood that wasn’t Asher’s.
Luna stood up from the couch and ran to the door, throwing it open.
Asher stood in the hallway, covered in dirt and blood that wasn’t his. His black jacket was torn at the shoulder, and there was a cut on his cheek that was already healing. But he was standing. He was alive. He was here.
Luna didn’t think. She didn’t hesitate. She ran into Asher’s arms and held him tightly, sobbing into his chest.
“Asher,” Luna cried out, her voice breaking. “You’re alive. You’re okay. You’re here.”
