Micca growls getting in the back seat with her. Mates. The thought has never occurred to me, but it is something that I need to learn. I turn eighteen in four months. The darkness in the room comforted me a little, although I knew it was still pretty early and all the other girls in the room were still asleep it was good to know that no one could watch me be miserable. Last night had been the worst night of my life, which was saying a lot because working in Miss Tanya’s house guaranteed that every night was horrible but I had been hoping all of that would change last night. I'd spent weeks on it, really. I was ready to bring it up to him after the coming-of-age ceremony. I was certain that he would jump on board, and it wouldn’t be hard to leave too because he was the Alpha after all.
