The walls shifted constantly, pulsating with a rhythm that seemed to echo the relic’s energy.
“This doesn’t feel like the way out,” Jamie muttered, his eyes darting around nervously.
“It’s not,” Emma said, her grip on the relic tightening. “The Veil is guiding us somewhere else.”
The corridor opened into a vast, open expanse. The ground was a shimmering mosaic of light and darkness, reflecting the swirling vortex of the sky above. At the center of the expanse stood a massive obelisk, its surface covered in glowing runes.
Crane stopped abruptly, staring at the obelisk. “This wasn’t on the resonance map,” he said, his voice trembling. “I don’t even know what this is.”
