Still chasing lost causes?” Elliot let out a low laugh, the sound almost dangerous, but he didn’t take the bait. “Actually, I’ve been pretty busy,” he replied, his eyes flicking to me for a second before returning to Spencer. “In fact, I brought someone you all should meet.” He gestured, and a guy stepped up—tall, wavy brown hair, blue eyes that seemed to scan everyone. “This is Connor O’Brien. My new assistant. He’ll be working with me from now on.”

We've got a lot of books to publish now."

The man was tall, clean face, with angular jaws, dark hair, and dark eyes. This man was very youthful looking. “Hello Kate, Carlos. Nolan Stoll, for crying out loud!” The couple’s mouth fell to the floor, recalling their old friend, Nolan Stoll. They weren’t close to him, but he became their study friend during their third year in high school. Nolan then left for Washinton after his family moved.

The man who looks like one in his mid-forties and who earlier wailed asks glaring at Lucien. Lucien chuckles and wipes the drop of spittle and blood on his fists without saying anything. "Ain't you the one I'm talking to!" The man charges toward him and grabs him on the collar. "Don't you fucking speak?" Lucien glances up and stares into his eyes. "If you don't get your hand off my collar right now Connor, consider yourself out of my company." Mr. Corbin Connor is the current general manager of Shadow worldwide company. And supposedly a worker of Lucien the man he is holding his collar and glaring at.

Deemed as the nicest guy in Eastwood High School, he still hung with the popular kids and played the Fullback position in our football team. "I'm Maya Conners," I mumbled under my breath. Who is he?” I ask nodding my head to the police car. “Names James Connor. Rich guy from Seattle. He’s been following her for years. He has faked many names trying to get close to Lori. We found ten different profiles, all fake women, he was trying to get her to confide in him in many forms. Years’ worth.” “Another stalker? Why do the women in our lives attract psychos?” I ask as I watch Asher jump out of the ambulance. Looks like Lori won that round.

"He has the face of a god. Why isn't he the one in front of the lens?" "Some girls want to try and scent-mark him," Lisa giggled to me. But every time a model tried to approach him, one look from Connor’s piercing eyes sent them scurrying away. Lisa was basking in the reflected glory. No one dared to look down on us today. As evening fell, Stenson and the Excalibur Q elders arrived to inspect the progress. Their eyes landed on Connor immediately. Stenson looked troubled, as if he were trying to recall an old legend.

I'd like to get to know the man who has the balls to offend Connor Saunders." Liam smiled, but the spite in his eyes was evident. "My name is Liam Cole." Connor did not notice the way Liam was staring at him, but Dylan could not help but sense the coldness in the air. He shuddered and instinctively took a small step backward
