I stepped out of the truck. Chloe spotted me and her smile shifted slightly. Not guilty. Just surprised. “Dominic. You’re early.” “Traffic was light.” I looked at the guy. He looked back. Friendly enough. Held out his hand. “Hey. I’m Connor. Marketing team.” “Dominic.” I shook it. Firm. Brief. “Cool.” Connor glanced between us, read the room, and took a step back. “I’ll see you when you’re back from leave, Chloe. Feel better.”

The little fuck released her hand and glowered at me when I stepped closer. "Who is this person Danielle?" She looked at me as she stood and came over to my side. "This is Connor Robert." "Him? That's who you think you're going to marry? Your father will never allow you to marry this...this person." Twenty-five to life that's all I thought when I looked at him, so I tamped down on the anger and ignored his dumb ass. As long as he wasn't touching her anymore, the fucker could live. "I'll watch where I put my hands next time, boy. I'm not too jazzed about motherfuckers touching what's mine. This is your one and only warning."

“How’s life? Still chasing lost causes?” Elliot let out a low laugh, the sound almost dangerous, but he didn’t take the bait. “Actually, I’ve been pretty busy,” he replied, his eyes flicking to me for a second before returning to Spencer. “In fact, I brought someone you all should meet.” He gestured, and a guy stepped up—tall, wavy brown hair, blue eyes that seemed to scan everyone. “This is Connor O’Brien. My new assistant. He’ll be working with me from now on.”

“My name is Connor Zeller. I'm sure you've heard of Master Aiden Zeller, the great ethereal shaman, right? I'm his successor! How dare you call me a fraud? The man who looks like one in his mid-forties and who earlier wailed asks glaring at Lucien. Lucien chuckles and wipes the drop of spittle and blood on his fists without saying anything. "Ain't you the one I'm talking to!" The man charges toward him and grabs him on the collar. "Don't you fucking speak?" Lucien glances up and stares into his eyes. "If you don't get your hand off my collar right now Connor, consider yourself out of my company." Mr. Corbin Connor is the current general manager of Shadow worldwide company. And supposedly a worker of Lucien the man he is holding his collar and glaring at.

"My name is Connor, I'm part of the football team, and I'm student council president." Honestly, he didn't have to introduce himself, and everyone would still already know who he is. Deemed as the nicest guy in Eastwood High School, he still hung with the popular kids and played the Fullback position in our football team. "I'm Maya Conners," I mumbled under my breath. "How about that interesting fact about yourself?" "There really isn't anything interesting about me." I sent a small smile at Connor, hoping he'd spare me the embarrassment and move along.

He shakes his head, “He had her tied to a bed in the basement. She was dressed but she won’t tell us if he did something to her. Asher isn’t going to leave her side.” “I’m not surprised. Who is he?” I ask nodding my head to the police car. “Names James Connor. Rich guy from Seattle. He’s been following her for years. He has faked many names trying to get close to Lori. We found ten different profiles, all fake women, he was trying to get her to confide in him in many forms. Years’ worth.” “Another stalker? Why do the women in our lives attract psychos?” I ask as I watch Asher jump out of the ambulance. Looks like Lori won that round.

"He has the face of a god. Why isn't he the one in front of the lens?" "Some girls want to try and scent-mark him," Lisa giggled to me. But every time a model tried to approach him, one look from Connor’s piercing eyes sent them scurrying away. Lisa was basking in the reflected glory. No one dared to look down on us today. As evening fell, Stenson and the Excalibur Q elders arrived to inspect the progress. Their eyes landed on Connor immediately. Stenson looked troubled, as if he were trying to recall an old legend.

He was being held in a very difficult position now between two sides whom neither of them could afford to offend, so there was nothing else he could do except keep his head bowed in silence. Connor ambled over to Liam, one hand on the brim of his cap and the other stuck deep in his pocket. He cast Liam a once-over, disdain etched in his eyes, and said, "Who are you, pal? I'd like to get to know the man who has the balls to offend Connor Saunders." Liam smiled, but the spite in his eyes was evident. "My name is Liam Cole." Connor did not notice the way Liam was staring at him, but Dylan could not help but sense the coldness in the air. He shuddered and instinctively took a small step backward
