I said and he chuckled “What are you going to do? Kill me? Go ahead, do that. You can try" He retorted I creased my brows in utter confusion. This was odd, very odd. He was currently pulling on his thick black gloves while two of his men - Luke and Connor, stood beside him, ready to assist. Luke was smaller but far deadlier, the kind whose cruelty came effortlessly. Connor was the opposite, calmer and controlled, but no less ruthless when it mattered. As soon as Mark was done putting on his gloves, he turned to them. "Bring two at a time," he instructed. They both nodded with a low hum of acknowledgment before walking out. Mark then reached for his blade on the counter. He watched the way it caught the light, his face unreadable, then picked up another one.

I declare. "Suit yourself," he says. He runs a hand through his hair and is about to leave when something on my neck catches his gaze. His eyes widen, and he grabs my arm and pulls me closer. His eyes change from blue to bloodshot, "What the fuck is this?" he growls, grip tightening. I wince in pain. "What?" "You're marked!" he roars.

Lillianna cried out unable to help herself. He just imprinted his initials onto her body… He pressed it so hard holding her arm hard so she could not go anywhere. He kept it pressed for a few minutes before he pulled it off her. She was in tears. AJ assessed the result before he turned her around roughly and showed the mark to Tristan. “What does that say?” He asked. “It says AJ… AJ… She is now marked. I have branded her as my own. Is that enough for you to understand that she belongs to me!”

But he never understood my obsession with finding Ava. "She's gone, Roger," he'd tell me, over and over. "Her family went deep into hiding. Connor said as he turned me around and kissed me hard with hunger. "Maybe tonight, Aaron has Mark, so," I said as I looked up into Connors sky blue eyes. "I don't like the fact of Aaron having Mark; we need to do something about that and quickly. I wish Aaron were one of those deadbeat fathers who never showed their faces around their children. That would make things so much easier," Connor said as he bent down and kissed my forehead. "After everything that has happened, I somewhat wish that as well, but Aaron is his father. Aaron adores Mark, so I don't see him hurting Mark in any way," I spouted the half-truth that I'm no longer confident in believing.

She almost looked like she was asleep except for the hole in her chest. Connor had waited respectfully for us in the hallway and I could see that his eyes were red from crying as well. He had loved my mother, they were close friends and their bond had been unshakeable, so much so that Connor went against Damon more than a few times for her. “We know who did this,” Connor said to Damon as he held out an arrow to him. I looked at the strange markings on them and turned it around in my hand after Damon had looked at it. His face was set in anger and grief. He didn’t even bother to answer Connor as he started walking back to the house covered in Finley’s blood.

I took it and stood up,Dante was having a hard time dealing with two of the men and I sped to help him, Connor was doing well tearing them apart, same with Xavier. I rushed to Dante's side shifting in the process and angrily launched at them. I helped Dante to his feet and he whispered thanks. As soon as we turned we heard Connor's panicked voice coming from the link.I looked around and couldn't find Connor and Xavier, only Liam tearing the rogues into shreds. Someone was hurt. Dante and I raced to the other side of the building and we froze when we saw the sight in front of us.Connor was on the floor with a knife plunged to his chest, Xavius lying weakly on the floor and two rogues laughing
