Cayla’s heart skipped again. They had been correct, but she knew the tests would only get difficult. She nodded to the general, and he stepped forward once more, touching the stone. The plaque hummed as the riddle vanished, and the path ahead cleared further, but now the air felt heavier, more oppressive.
“What is so fragile that saying its name breaks it?” Cayla responded almost immediately, “Silence,”
The third riddle appeared almost immediately as the stone parted. It seemed that for every round, the more riddles to answer.
