The heavy concrete door of the gym ground open just minutes after Dante’s departure. Alex stepped inside, carrying a long, unrolled black leather sheath under his arm. His face was entirely blank, returning to the immaculate, clinical composure he always maintained. There was no trace of the chaotic confrontation that had just occurred, but I knew he had witnessed every second of it.
"The Capo is right, Doctor," Alex began, his quiet voice echoing off the bare concrete walls as he laid the leather roll flat onto the wooden bench. "Fire is useful, but only if you know how to direct the heat."
