The Ties that Bind Us

The Ties that Bind Us

Jonathan said as he looked at her, “it doesn't have to be a real marriage, so to speak. But it will also give you a sense of security because not only of the insurance but of the name change. I have my last name, and then your stepmother can't find you as easily.” “I see,” she said. She looked at him. There was nothing nefarious that he was coming up with. It was all things to benefit her, but it was those things that would detriment him. “Basically, I'm proposing a marriage of convenience for the two of us. It would allow you to get medical care and be able to change your name without going through the court and being able to have your stepmother find out about it. For right now, I'm not ta

His Substitute Bride

His Substitute Bride

Eliza smiled first, nudging Amelia but Kora, on the other hand, was still trying to process her shock. “You got married to him?” Eliza whispered, surprise dripping from her tone. “Like… for real?” “Yes.” I affirmed. I couldn't blame her for asking that, after all, I never talked about him even for a split second when they were around. “Wow,” Amelia added. “He’s so… tall.” “Tall?” Eliza repeated. “Girl, her husband looks like he funds world peace with his side hustle.” Before I could stop myself, I laughed. It was at this moment that Finn leaned in and then pressed a soft kiss to my forehead.

The Perfect Marriage Contract

The Perfect Marriage Contract

I kept looking at the paper with my eyes wide open and I was so close to it as thought I was going to go into it any time soon. I looked at him as though he said something really crazy which he obviously did. "What is this, why do I have to sign something like this"? He looked at me with his usual cold gaze and said. "Don't tell me you can't read". I just looked at him with the expression that said 'What the hell, is this dude for real?' "I can read clearly and that's the more reason why I'm not going to sign this crap. Why would I want to get married to you"?

THE SWITCHED HEIRESS

THE SWITCHED HEIRESS

“You chose your side long before I stopped pretending not to see.” He looked at her then, truly looked, as if trying to recognize the woman he’d agreed to marry. The poise, the calm, the quiet authority, it all fascinated and frightened him in equal measure. “You think I’m your enemy,” he said. Hazel tilted her head. “No. Enemies require conviction. You’re just… convenient.” He almost laughed. Almost. “Then why marry me?” “Because convenience is safer than love,” she replied simply. The honesty of it silenced him. He nodded once, defeated, and left for the adjoining room. The soft click of the door was both exit and confession.

MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE: Married To The Mated Alpha

MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE: Married To The Mated Alpha

Sincerely, I was tempted to dress similar to her now that it seems like my husband prefers that sort of dressing but the reminder that ours was a marriage of convenience screamed through my mind. I had questions now for myself and for Xander which I knew I would never ask a soul. I needed to know if there was any possibility that we could readjust our agreement to become more favorable. I had no idea why I was beginning to think this way but I was certain of one thing which was that a marriage of convenience was slowly beginning to eat me up. I mean, for how long was I going to have to pretend to be okay with no form of intimacy. I might be an Omega but I sure as hell have my family's name t

CAGED: IN HIS LOVE

CAGED: IN HIS LOVE

His eyebrows raised questiongly. Aaron looked at his gobsmacked face and nodded his eyes while still half bending his body on the rope. "It's true." He shrugs casually again back to look at the front wall. "She signed it." He asked frantically. Aaron watched Daniel with the corner of his eyes as he knows he couldn't digest the news he just announced maybe nobody can as this is the stupid thing he did. It's the fucking reality and he had mix up the real life with any fictional novel. Truly, he did get this idea reading some contract marriage novel which Kathy likes to read but it's truly obscure to even think that way in real life. As there are only two marriages that exist in this world. Fir

pretty good start. enough descriptive imagery. the blurb was okay. seems like there's enough conflict to keep the story interesting. the blurb needs some proofreading, as well as the first chapters (typos, tense consistency issues, punctuation, etc.). overall, nice work

The synopsis hints that this story has more in it than it seems. The chapters need some editing, but nothing that damages the story as it is right now. The ML is easily hated, but I bet there is more about him than the first chapters shows.

she saduly uttered. “Then, what are you doing there?” Celine did not answer so she asked again, “don’t tell me you confessed to him just like you told me earlier in the office?” she asks as she observes her reaction. She saw her nod at her doubts, Jane release a deep sigh at her confession, “as far as I remember, he’s married. Why don’t you like back Ivan? I heard he likes you too,” Jane encourages her. “Have you gone crazy? He’s a notorious Casanova!” she complains which makes Jane chuckle at her.

A Marriage of Convenience

A Marriage of Convenience

The last thing that I wanted to do was face Marina before I whisked James away for another evening of pretending, though I was shocked to my core when he’d readily agreed to join me at this dinner party. I don’t understand him or his new desire to remain married to me. He still won’t tell me anything. I feel like I’m a stranger in my own marriage. Everything I’ve learned about James has been from watching, not because he’s willingly given me an ‘in’ to his life. After getting ready, I ordered an Uber from my phone, missing my access to Mr. Green. As I was waiting, a text from Shawn came through. S: Think your mom will notice when we sneak out to the garden tonight? I’m dreading the spotlight
