"I want to go home!" One of the hoods moves as a council member signals something to someone on my right. I turn in time to see broad shoulders too close to have time to run. The light flickers upon a silver blade. My mouth opens to scream in dismay, but nothing comes out. Why? As I touch my throat, my fingers are bathed in a warm, thick liquid. A fine line along my neck ignites a pang of pain. I raise my hands only to discover they are painted in red. My muscles aren't mine to control anymore. My body falls to one side, blood pumping out of my neck as I suffocate and choke.

I can’t help but taunt him, “I don’t think I’m helpless.” He growls as he gets back up and pins me against the wall. He yells in my face, spit spraying me as he says, “You can’t win this time!” A moment before it happens I notice the scent of maple and I hear Marinette’s voice announce, “Oh yeah we can!” Apollo cries out as she tears into his neck and sucks the blood out. It happens so fast. His scream was loud but quickly went quiet as he fell to his knees as she drained every ounce of his blood. Once she did I hear a sickening crack as she breaks a part of him before I hear a squishy sound and then things go silent.

They threw all sorts of things at themselves, knives, swords, daggers, and a lot of people present there were killed, including Marylin Lou. “She was taken to a priest who happened to be a newly converted vampire, for her body to be blessed before it would be buried. The priest, who found out that her heart was still beating in the mortuary, decided to convert her immediately, as she would be dead in a matter of seconds if he didn’t. He bribed the mortuary staff to lie to her family that she had been buried immediately after the blessing, and th

Mary asked without thinking. “Yeah….apparently they found traces of blood in his bedroom, strange stuff…..especially as it started to climb up the wall and down the ceiling toward the window. Buts that’s just gossip” the barman said walking round the other side of the bar. The pub remained quiet apart from the soft sound of music from the jukebox. Summer slipped into a daydream, imagining that poor boys disappearance, and for the first time remembering that menacing smile from that woman, that had given her a deadly chill through her body, as if someone had walked over her grave.

The courtyard became a sea of red, as if the very heavens themselves were bleeding. I felt a presence beside me. Alpha Kael's gaze locked onto mine. His eyes gleaming with darkness, a hidden truth. And I knew, in that moment, I was forever bound to this pack, and their mysterious, psychotic blood-soaked ritual. A young approached Mary, holding a delicate, ornate cup. Mary took it, her eyes gleaming with an intense light. She raised the cup to the sky, letting the droplets of blood fall freely into it. The cup filled quickly, overflowing with the crimson liquid.

They just couldn’t leave me alone could they, my demons. Squeezing my eyes shut, the recent nightmare came flooding back. Something bad had happened and I hadn’t been able to stop it. Bloom was lying in my arms. There was a hole in her belly like something had yanked our pup out of her, a pool of blood around her throat. She was dead. I shook her but there was no response. Her eyes were wide open and lifeless, and her skin was death-cold. Then I roared in anger and when I looked down again, it wasn’t Bloom anymore. It was Maria. Maria with an arrow deep in her chest like the day she died.

Maya hesitated as she bent over, staring at my cracked lips and leaking blood. “Are you sure her powers won't destroy me?” She asked shakily and the other girls rolled their eyes. “ I will do it if you can't Maya, my father gave a cure for poisonous blood, hers is way too fucking tempting and delicious right now.” The girl holding my hair said and scratched her hands so back that it bled. A boot connected with my side and my ribs screamed. I tasted blood in my mouth and my head was spinning. For a split second, I wanted to taste their blood too, sink my teeth into the girl who was clawing at my arm and feel the rush of her pulse under my tongue. It was terrifying… and thrilling. I hate them,

I stared bewildered at how far she was willing to drag this on. “Calm down ma'am,” Tommy said, as he made an attempt to walk towards her, my eyes were on Tommy for the moment. “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” I heard a loud scream, I turned around to look where the voice came from but there was Maria dropping down to the ground with blood gushing out of her throat……

“Yes. That’s better. That’s the sound I needed. Scream more, bitch.” I pulled the scissors out and watched the blood well up, dark and red against her pale skin. Then I thrust them in again, in a different spot. Her blood splattered across my face, warm and wet. I let go of her hair and used my finger to wipe some of it off my cheek. Then, with deliberate care, I smeared it across her lips like lipstick. “You look perfect now,” I said, studying my work. “Like a Bloody Mary.” “Please, miss,” she whispered, barely conscious. “Please...”

But I just could not help it any longer, being face to face with a wolf had everything flooding into my brain, and I wanted to scream my lungs out. Blood. It was blood that I saw. My parents' blood, spilled on the wooden floor around their heads. I saw their lifeless eyes and still bodies, and wounded faces. I saw my eleven year old self crying and screaming for them to wake up and look at me again, to call me their baby again. But that did not happen, it never happened. And I saw the people that had done that to them, their smug faces and crooked smirks, their hands stained with the blood of my parents, and the set of tattoos on one of their forearms.
