"You’ve been out here for too long," he murmured, positioning himself beside her.
"I needed air," she whispered, gazing ahead. "The walls were closing in."
Damian exhaled slowly, his jaw tightening. "Is it because of the prophecy?"
"It’s because of everything," she confessed. "The Crescent Shadows are growing stronger. My powers are evolving. And the moon—Damian, do you sense it? Something is approaching."
He hesitated before responding. Instead, he moved closer, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. His voice softened when he finally spoke.
