I added. Cries broke not too far from me. It was Noah. It began with soft hums, and his head jerking back and forth at every hiccup that gripped him. He bit on his lip, with his eyes pressing shut to clear his blurry vision. Then after a few seconds, his lips parted and the sound became louder. Tears rolled down his cheeks. My throat burned yet my face was expressionless. I curled my fingers into fists, my nails digging deep into my skin. At every wail my nails dug deeper until a warm liquid rolled down my hands. I took a quick glance to see blood.

His mouth wet, showing all of his teeth and his eyes low and narrow. "KRIS!!" I cry hearing a wicked laugh and feel the grip on my hair tighten. "CYN!!!! LET HER...GO!" Kris roars as he runs closer and closer behind us. I see his body leap into the air and suddenly my back is slammed against something hard. The pain prevents me from opening my eyes right away as I adjusted. Growling and grunts from both Kris and Cyn a few feet behind me, fills my ears. Cyn yells and hisses at Kris, calling him a stupid pup and I finally open my eyes.

A crystal goblet is placed on the table. "We shall now join the two families by joining their blood." Elder Jasper Stark said. Then he pulled out a knife and took Nathan hand he cut it. Nathan let his blood flow into the goblet. Cassie lift her hand to the Elder. He cuts her hand and she let's her blood flow into the goblet with Nathan's. Nathan takes and licks Cassie's had and seals the cut then seals his own. Elder Jasper Stark mixes the blood together then passes it first to Cassie who takes a small drink then Nathan takes a small drink and passes it back to the Elder.

With extreme fear, Delilah shook her head vigorously as she pleaded, "Tristan, it's me, Lila! What are you…" A scream echoed through the air as he slapped her harshly across the face. He inserted the dagger between her thighs, his tone frosty as he asked, "Was this what you did to my child?" With each word Tristan spoke, his voice grew quieter. Soon, all that could be heard were Delilah's faint gasps. The live stream flickered with static, but the ban still hadn't been enforced. I felt a chill down my spine as I met his eyes on-screen.

Her sobs come to a halt as she stares at me incredulously, her tear-streaked face illuminated by a tender glow. A sigh of profound relief escapes my lips because she finally stops crying. “It’s your fault. You made me cry.” She scolds me, adorably wiping her tears with the sleeves of her blazer. “Cute.” As I smile and pull her cheek, her brows furrow in anger. “You find me cute when I cry?” She arches her brows at me and asks in an incredulous tone. “Your cheeks and nose have turned rosy from crying, which makes you even more adorable.” I explain, tapping her nose gently. A soft chuckle escapes her lips, a sound like music to my ears.

Kris stood and walked to the next table as Abby wiped a drying tear. Max placed a second paper sculpture on the table and scooted it across. He knew what she was going through and God bless the man, he was trying to help. She gently picked up her new addition to Gabe’s paper frog collection. Max already made three frogs over the past few days and they were all different, this looked like a bullfrog—the man had talented fingers. “You did those?” Kris pointed at the paper sword and frog as he sat back down. “Sure.” “That’s hectic, bru. What do they call that shit? Oregano? Oro…”
