I nagged, tapping through my phone screen with force. “We have caught the criminal!” My mind shattered into a million unpickable pieces. I was doomed!

It was crowded enough to hide her, but not so crowded that she might go unnoticed among the throngs. She could remember that she was hurrying out of the motel, being low-key, as not to make herself visible and notice her presence as breaking news appeared on the old small TV mounted on a wall corner in her room. She still remembers the huge and very clear mugshot when the voice sounds very serious: "Breaking news: Clara Hemp, a convict, has escaped from an ultra-secure mental health care facility. Authorities declare she is one of the more dangerous felons. Citizens advised to be wary and report anyone suspicious activity forthwith."
