I let out a shaky sigh, the weight of what I had just learned settling in like a dark cloud over my soul.
"Why didn't you report him?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. Raj scoffed bitterly."He had a list of our crimes. If we said anything, we'd be the ones rotting in prison. And more than that... we were afraid he'd make good on his promise of a slow, agonizing death. That guy is sick in the head."
I swallowed hard.
He had known they were criminals—rapists, murderers. He knew they had no legal standing, no way to fight back. And so, he used them like his personal lab rats.
