After My Sister's Murder, I Went Mad

After My Sister's Murder, I Went Mad

I thought they were amazing and had always wanted to try them on someone. Ever since Dominic took the drugs, I was able to turn him into exactly who I wanted him to be. He constantly suspected the people around him of speaking ill of him. He scolded the servants over the simplest, most innocent things. He became more suspicious of his bodyguards by the day. He secretly asked me if the bodyguards had been bribed by his enemies. He had many rivals before but never took them seriously. Lately, he was so worried that he woke up drenched in sweat in the middle of the night from nightmares.

My Cold-Blooded Patient

*--* "SIR, MR. LUCAS is here." He signaled her to leave them alone. His secretary bowed and left his office. Lucas, the private investigator sat across his table and hands him the brown envelope. Havoc opens it and saw information about his new psychiatrist, Sunshine Claire Mendoza. Actually, he has bits of knowledge about her already but he wants to dig deeper. Why did she accept my case? Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

HERE LIE STORIES NEVER FINISHED. Pages rustled underfoot with every small shift, like whispers too quiet to make out. I bent and picked up another sheet that had landed near my boot. It was a fragment of something I’d only ever talked about at three a.m., half‑drunk, in DMs with other writers. A line about a girl in a city made of bones, her hands stained with ink she couldn’t wash off. The sentence broke off right where my memory of it did. “This place sucks,” Jax said, voice hushed. “In case anyone was wondering. Zero stars. Send it back to the drafting table.”

★。\|/。★ VANESSA DAVIS ★。/|\。★ I sat on the edge of the bed- after moving from the kitchen counter, my laptop balanced on my knees, fingers flying across the keyboard as I typed furiously. The words came easy, fueled by a mix of frustration and grim satisfaction. /Evil Still Exists Among the Good. Hey, Muse Squad, That much is clear in Dusty Creek, a town that once thrived before a crooked sheriff decided to turn it into his personal playground.

Ground to Dust for My Sister's Fate

Ground to Dust for My Sister's Fate

Dad froze. "He was arrested two years ago," the officer declared in a cold voice. "He was convicted of fraud after swindling over two million dollars, targeting extreme, superstitious parents like you. During his trial, he confessed that he's not an astrologer; he's a typical con artist." The interrogation room fell into a long silence as the officer kept his icy, mocking gaze on Mom and Dad. "You spent 18 years abusing and suppressing your daughter for random nonsense a stranger made up. And during those 18 years, your daughter, Sophie, suffered from severe depression.

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

She found the man exhausting at the best of times. “First off, we need to do more research around town. Our spirits talked about shattering the anchor stone.” Greta played with the eerie tape of the voice. Showed the list of names from the wall. Berry turned green when he saw the yellowed pile of bones. “That’s a lot of bones. Why didn’t people find them already when they inspected the mine?” “That Berry is up to the police to figure out. But I think those bones are really old. We suspect it includes Liam Blackstone’s bones.”

Hello, so I just finish the 1st chapter, honestly, I think you introduced too many characters in the first chapter, why don't you focus on the MC and the husband and wife first. You can introduce the other staffs later when they play a role in the chapter. Good luck!

I love the way you tell us about all the different people that are going to be in the book. I like how each chapter is about one set of characters and how they are part of the whole tapestry of the story. Love that there's a Boggart in your book, they really are very mischievous but don't mean harm.

Claimed by My Bully Alpha

Claimed by My Bully Alpha

“But wolves don’t just randomly turn to dust after death and bones don’t look like that without a reason. And nothing good ever comes with that kind of rot in the air.” Back at the estate, we moved fast—peeling off our clothes, washing away the filth in scalding water, each of us caught in our own thoughts. I stood under the spray for what felt like forever, watching the dirt and tar-like substance spiral down the drain, hoping it was enough. Hoping that whatever we’d found hadn’t already sunk into our skin, into our bones. And as the water ran, my mind went back to the sight of those remains—how they seemed to hum with something ancient and vengeful. I didn’t say it out loud, but deep down,

The Devil's Viking (The Road Devils Motorcycle Club 3)

“So even if these cult assholes take the bone fragments to the cops, the lab will find nothing?” “Exactly.” Viking shrugged. “Though I doubt very much they’d go scampering off to a crime lab or have anything to do with the police. I mean, how do they explain how they just happened to dig up a bunch of burned bones? And does a cult leader strike you as the kind of person super-eager to get on the authorities’ radar for any reason?” “Yeah, well,” Drake – or maybe Dux – said. “That’s where we might have an actual, real problem. Not like Viking’s chemical combustion contamination…thing.”

Crime and Cashmere

Crime and Cashmere

I would be in prison for the rest of my life for crimes I never even committed, and I had to skip down the aisle happily, smile plastered on my face, flowers in my arms, and dress fabric draped at my waist. Flowers are supposed to be light. I am supposed to be light. I am supposed to be happy, and gleefully skip down the aisle onto the next chapter of this novel I call life. I am not light. I am encased in stone and dropped into water. I am sinking. My father is happy, his smile reaches his ears and his hands come out to me as the music begins to play.

dangerous and unapologetic. These sorts of people treat lives as if they didn't matter because they knew they were powerful enough to live unhindered. Why would Jim get involved with this sort of person? Was he blackmailed? Brewster ruffled his hair and closed his eyes in despair. He couldn't let Jim be treated the way he was. He couldn't let Jim ruin his life for anything and definitely not for him. He sucked in a deep breath. He glanced at the closed door before him and decisively turned around. He had to find out who Jim was with, and to do that, he needed Ace's help.
