Kimberly held me tighter. “It’s okay,” she whispered into my hair. “Let it out. I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere.” My breath hitched against her. I hated crying. I hated feeling weak. I hated feeling like a child again. But I couldn’t stop it. I grabbed her shirt, pressing my face against her, letting the tears soak through the fabric. I felt my whole body tremble. My chest rose and fell too fast, like I couldn’t get enough air. Kimberly stroked my back slowly, whispering calm, soothing words I couldn’t even hear properly anymore.

I could say anything to him, I felt like there was a huge lump on my throat right now that prevented me from speaking. "Nathalie," I saw when Kyrie started walking towards me before he knelt on his knees to hold my hand and buried his face in my leg.
