A recognition that lived below thought. The woman's eyes opened fully. Crimson. Not human. Deep glowing red lit from somewhere inside, burning steady and old and alive. Tyra stepped back. "Who are you." "You already know," the woman said. Her voice was warm and cracked at the edges like something that had been through fire and come out the other side. She moved forward, each step soundless on the black soil. Her crimson eyes moved over Tyra's face with a desperation that was almost physical. Like someone who had been kept from something for so long that seeing it again hurt. "You have always known."

'I'll just wait for her to come back,' I thought. I took the time to look at the medals that decorated the walls, awards for swimming. I picked up the small trophy that was on the cabinet. It had the golden figure of a person that seemed to be diving into the air. She must have been an expert swimmer to have won all these I thought. The walls were painted lavender and so was the colour of her bed. The door opened and I dropped the little golden figure quickly. I looked at who it was through the darkness and Dawn switched on the light bulb. She must have not been expecting to see me like this because she shuddered like she had jus been given an electric shock.

An electric current surged in the small glass case, and the mermaid inside rolled and howled in pain. The mermaid’s brown-red curly hair floated in the water. Her skin was like crystal clear white jade, her face was as delicate as a porcelain doll, and her scales were a mysterious blue-purple of the ocean. “Oh dear, I can't let them torture such a cute woman like this. Seeing her is like a gift from God.” “Her face is simply perfect.” “I want to keep her in my fish pond and make her my precious collection!” “Hahaha, I want to use her to feed my fish!”

I can hear Marina’s steady slumbering breath as clear as day – and so could any of my kind. Crystal screamed out and fought to free herself from Leonardo's grip but his grip only tightened the more. "Leonardo please don't do this. I beg you please"Crystal pleaded with tears distorting her vision. "Enjoy the show princess. This is your punishment"Leonardo whispered gravely into her ear.

,I exclaimed. “Just follow me and I will take you on a tour around the university”,He said with a big smile. “Uh,where really is The Crystal Lake University?”,I asked him. “This is The Crystal Lake University.That one is the university’s mall”,he pointed out this huge mall,located at my left side.When I entered that’s the first thing I saw.It looks like Square One but a bigger one. “That is Section A,Section B and Section C”,he pointed out those three buildings around the mall.The mall is the dead end of this city or University.

Everly’s POV The Goddess was right. I needed Avril to be here. She and I were connected in some way. We were both given a curse just so the Pantheon could give us some of their power. I had thought I was the only one. But my wolf’s sister was here in the flesh. My wolf was spinning around. “We are gemstone wolves.” I explain to Avril. “The Goddess choses to give us gifts, but every gift must come with a price. For you, you can see visions, but you’re blind.”

Maxwell asked, inspecting me from where he stood beside Halcyon, both of them suddenly looking a lot closer than I remember them being. "I have made it so that her Mermaid attributes can only be seen by those who know of her true identity. From her eyes to her skin which shines when making contact with water; If a person isn't aware that she's a Mermaid, then that person will only see a normal Human who's simply unfairly gorgeous." I breathed out a long breath of air, her words dawning on me. This was possibly the most useful gift I've ever received. "You know what that means?" Rick whispered, and I laughed, looking up at him.

She was at the last stage of the pearl making. "What is your identity? Oh, sorry, female mermaids don't have an identity. What's your name then?" The mermaid's eyes flashed red. She would have resorted to lying but she knew witches could sense a false statement. "I am Meridia, assistant to the head of our council."

Joshua thinks that he wouldn't be that surprised if he starts to form wrinkles on his forehead and be deaf from listening to Leo's endless bleating like a goat. "I'm sorry, I don't follow. Who is Crystal Mayhem?" Joshua Brenner is quite a liar. He knows who is Crystal Mayhem, and it was only a coincidence that she happen to rent a room in his building for a week because of her work. And as Joshua Brenner see it as an opportunity for his "annoying" friend, he sent him to do the room service and this happened, just another normal day of being a good listener to his "worker's" fuss.
