I was taking a shower but I felt like I was being watched. These days, I had been totally captivated by and restlessly researching merpeople day and night. My fascination with this mysterious species had caused a merman to appear in my dreams a few days ago. He was majestic, young, and about three meters tall. The word hung in the air like ash and flame. "Most of our records conflate the Siren with the Mermaid," the scientist continued, his tone clinical and detached. The Siren, however, is the saltwater crocodile. Larger, more aggressive, and possessing an impossible strength and kinetic energy that transcends the aquatic domain. While Mermaids lure to drown, Sirens command the very frequency of the original night."
