She couldn't resist taking out her sketchbook to capture the ethereal beauty of the landscape, the delicate strokes of her pencil capturing the essence of Guilin's natural splendor. The next day, Luna set out to explore the Reed Flute Cave, an underground wonderland filled with stalactites, stalagmites, and vibrant rock formations. As she entered the cave, Luna was greeted by an enchanting display of illuminated limestone formations that seemed to come to life in a myriad of colors. The cavernous chambers told a silent story of time and nature's artistry, leaving Luna in awe of the intricate formations that adorned the cave's walls.

The guards, including Lian, are guardians who keep me imprisoned. If I fall, if I slip, I die. And others will die because of my failure. Like the Garden, the architecture is all marble stone curves, which little by little incline it downwards. Crystals are everywhere, revealing a breathtaking view: the market, the valley and the forests beyond.

He waved his hand and the white crystal floated toward Jon. Jon quickly caught the white crystal and examined it. The crystal was crystal white and it was round. "What's this?" Jon asked while looking at the crystal in his hand curiously. "It's called the Elemental Nexus Crystal" Old Man Feng said and poured himself another jug of wine. The Elemental Nexus Crystal is a pristine, translucent crystal radiating a gentle, iridescent glow reminiscent of ethereal energies. Its smooth surface was adorned with intricate, swirling patterns that seem to shift and change as if mirroring the essence of the elements it represents.

Various lights flashed, like a fantasy dream; the sudden burst of beauty in the pitch blackness was staggering. At the end of the mine tunnel was a large cavern filled with countless natural green crystals. The center was a depression, forming a clear lake. There was a narrow, long crack in the roof of the cavern, through which the light from the sky cascaded down onto the lake, rippling with the water and then reflecting off the crystals at the bottom. The entire cavern was brightly illuminated with a ghostly glow, dazzlingly brilliant, mysterious, and peculiar.

She pointed toward the glittering crystals surrounding us. "I think we're inside one." I blinked. "...Inside a ley line?" She nodded. "I don't know how." "But look around." Only then did I truly notice the cave. The crystals weren't random. They pulsed. Softly. Like veins carrying light beneath the earth. Energy flowed through them. Constantly. Quietly. The entire cavern felt... Alive. "I think this is the inside of a ley line," Molly repeated. My stomach tightened. "If that's true..."

it rumbled. “You have chosen compassion over vengeance.” Its great horn touched the snow. “I acknowledge you... Moon Queen.” A beam of brilliant blue light erupted from the mountain behind it. The frozen cliff split apart, revealing a hidden cave glittering with thousands of crystals. “The Crystal Caverns,” Liam whispered. “The path is open.” Inside the cavern, everything shimmered in soft blue light. Crystal pillars stretched from floor to ceiling. Underground rivers flowed like liquid diamonds. At the center stood a stone pedestal.

The circular exit is clear just up ahead. “About ten more yards,” I tell them. “Good,” Lyra says. “Because this place is making me claustrophobic.” I chuckle at the irritation in her voice, but I do regret that she has to crawl through this dirty cave this way. But finally, we reach the end. The narrow cave opens to a wide room, glistening with some sort of crystals that glow all around us. I step out and and turn to assist Lyra and Silanya as they exit the crawlspace.

“We’ve got a situation. An opportunity, really.” His brow rose as he leaned forward, curious. “Go on.” “Crystal Bay,” Carlos said,  the name heavy. Lorenzo sat up, intrigued. “It’s Pierre territory, isn’t it? Jordan’s land?” Carlos nodded slowly. “It is. But hear this: we’ve found a gigantic vein of crystal here. Larger than anything we’ve ever seen. The value…is astronomical.” Lorenzo whistled, leaning in. “Astronomical, huh? And I bet you want it.”

The oppressive darkness seemed to close in, but she pressed forward, the shimmering light in her vision growing stronger. After what felt like hours, the tunnel opened into a larger chamber. The group stepped inside cautiously, their weapons drawn. The chamber was circular, its walls covered in intricate carvings that seemed to writhe and shift as they looked at them. At the center of the room was a raised platform with a single pedestal atop it. On the pedestal rested a dark crystal, pulsating with malevolent energy. Ellara sucked in a sharp breath. “A nexus crystal. It’s drawing power from the bastion and spreading it throughout the tunnels.”

The place was almost silent, with only the trickle of the streams to keep her company. She enjoyed the silence with time. It was a small area of complete peace where she didn’t have to worry about being recognised or being an outsider. She could bathe in the beauty of the cave and just be her. Cassy smiled looking at the veins of quartz spreading through the obsidian walls. Both were crystals mined and exported by Ash Mount but also used amongst the wolves. One of those veins would’ve been mined to form the hilt of the dagger Alex got her for her birthday. It was a sign of the pack, and the first one Cassy had ever owned.
