She sat up. “Okay. . I have seen those souls and creatures with my own eyes and I do not have anyway to deny it. This is the underworld. That old, wrinkly man is Charon. And you are Hades, the god of hell. But--” she threw her arms in the air, palms up. “I am not Persephone, that just cannot be. I am Angelique. I have been Angelique the moment I was born.
