Kyra was only able to breathe freely again when she was back in the ceremonial hall but then, she spotted some people that were huddled together and she could hear them speaking angrily. Curiosity kills the car, they say and Kyra was a curious cat. Even if she knew that going there was a wrong decision she still wanted to know what was going on and what they were talking about.

Fear laced around my voice at the realization that Katty, my cat, may not have died a natural death. “How evil do you think me to be, Kitten?” A small laugh escaped his throat, like he even had the audacity to ask, considering everything he had done to me. “Your cat was pregnant when she ‘died’; did your mother bother checking her pulse before putting her into that hole underground?” My eyebrows came down in a frown, “what do you mean?” Goosebumps prickled my skin at the second realization of what his words meant. “And how did you know it was my mother who buried Katty?”

Joking about killing me. That's right - not fun.

I quietly followed behind her . Shit she went straight into the garden. Did they have plans to meet up back here. My eyes almost watered with hurt. My arms drop at my side as I turn on my heels to see Dr. Jhero, as usual, with his mischievous smirk. From my peripheral vision, I can see some taking quick glances at us we stand across one another. I didn't smile, nor bowed my head to greet him as he instructed us to do. That only made his smirk widens. "Do you know that curiosity kills the cat?" he asks again when I didn't say anything.
