A freak accident that left me completely alone in the world. But now, I couldn’t help but wonder. Were they werewolves too? Had they known this would happen to me? Alaric said the curse didn’t activate unless you killed someone. If they were werewolves, had they never triggered the curse? Or was it something else entirely? I glanced at the window, where the light of the setting sun was fading, giving way to the night. The full moon was coming. I could feel it—a strange hum at the back of my mind, growing stronger with each passing moment.

“His eyes had a pink tinge to them but that’s it.” “Are you sure?” She questioned. “Close your eyes and think. Is he wearing something out of the ordinary? Something you had never seen before?” “No. I did find the love spell here.” I flipped to the page and showed her, but she was shaking her head. “That isn’t a love spell. It’s an infatuation spell. It makes the one cursed become unhealthily attached to the speller to the point of murder. If the cursed ever find the one that cursed them with someone else. Atrocious replied, rubbing an orb on the armrest of his chair. "Reveal? What do you have to reveal?" Draco raised an eyebrow, realizing that it must be serious if Atrocious was acting this way. Atrocious was never one to think or worry so much about anything and when he does, it meant it was something to be taken very seriously. Atrocious sighed heavily, picked up the orb, and muttered a spell. The orb became surrounded by a mist of emerald color, and an obscure figure appeared within it. "It's a curse. Your brother, the Alpha King, is cursed."

"I'm cursed" I clamped my hands over my mouth to prevent me from screaming. "What kind of curse?" I asked curiosity getting the best out of me. "I don't have human feelings, I can't be happy, I can't be sad, I can't fall in love, anything feelings, I don't have" What?! I almost cried for him as he spoke, how did he get cursed? Who did he offend? How does he cope? "Why are you telling me?" I asked.

She ran her index finger along Sienna’s face and continued, “You; my Luv never died…” What Serena said made sense to Sienna. Rubbing her forehead, she muttered, “I never felt like I died either… technically I don’t know what death feels like but it just felt like me when I found myself here… I felt cold, lonely, and claustrophobic…” Serena was impressed by her analysis and decided to give her a bit of more information. “When Alaric refused my proposal three years ago, I was furious. So, I cursed him.” Walking around Sienna in circles, she continued, “Eventually, I realized that he won’t be mine even if his mate died. So, I twisted the curse so that his mate is trapped in my prison.”

She felt it was her responsibility, but she also knew she couldn't fight them alone, but she needed help from others, she thought. She used her curse which was "cursed speech". She was able to make something happen with just a word. If she was to say die to anyone they would die instantly, but that depends on how strong the soul of the person was. She used her cursed speech to curse three swords, that can be used to kill anyone that was cursed, with a stab in the chest. She wanted to do more but she couldn't, the cursed energy was too heavy for her mortal body to behold. The three she did take a toll on her body and she lost her voice. She wasn't able to speak or talk again since that day.

"As proof of the curse, I gave you a mark which you have already seen. In order for the curse to break, you need to find true love. When that person says I love you, then the curse will be broken." How hard could it be to make a woman fall in love with me. “That is simple to accomplish.” I said with pure smugness. She shook her head. "No, it is not that simple. The moment that person loves you then you love them back, you will feel a burning sensation on your mark and it will glow signifying that as true love then the curse will be broken. If it does not, then you will remain immortal until you will find your true love."

Fresh tears blurred the words. “Do not tell him the truth.” “He will never believe you.” “The curse began three hundred years ago.” “Every man who truly loves a woman born with our blood…” ”…will slowly surrender his life.” ⸻ A tear landed on the page.
