I can't let her come in-between my senses of reasoning. I paced to the study room and picked up the book I have on my table. I have not been able to get to another page. I am just at one page ever since. The curse is something I wouldn't love anyone to know about because I don't know how to break it. The curse is a difficult thing and now that she has known, the bond from our fate would act as a catalyst to put us together. I couldn't really concentrate on the book. "Although most of the demons wanted your soul, they couldn't possibly have it because you have ‘the cursed venom’ which is very deadly to both spirit and being." Hilda explained with the roll of her eyes. “I can't believe they are still so superstitious!” "What is 'the cursed venom'?" Keondra frowned. "I don't know exactly what it is but it doesn't have a cure. But it's all a myth, I can't believe this is real.”

she chanted, her voice echoing with a power that didn't belong to this world. The talisman ignited with a brilliant flare, but the malevolent spirit was older and hungrier than she’d anticipated. It lashed out, a freezing tendril of soul-energy striking Caleb squarely in the chest. He roared, but it wasn't a cry of pain—it was a sound of pure, unadulterated fury. The curse on his soul flared in violent response to the external threat, and for a fleeting, terrifying second, the spectral image of a massive, silver-white wolf appeared behind him, baring fangs that could tear through dimensions. The spirit shrieked in terror and evaporated into a cloud of harmless mist.
