"Shit" Kiefer suddenly stopped from running and when the time I turned where he was staring, my eyes immediately widened when I saw him walking closer to us with those golden eyes of him. He had a lot with him and Kiefer and I were already surrounded by them. He smiled at me. "I'm back to pick you up, Chloe" Darth said while his eyes flickering into the golden eyes. What's going on?

All the while their kiss deepened into gasps, and moans, willing themselves onto the other. Those that are left around them break their silence as the two carry on. The first howl is one he knows. The other is dark brown with eyes like warm chocolate.

"The Star-Gate is at 90%." Suddenly, the tunnel ahead exploded. From the dust, four massive Hounds emerged. They were ten feet tall, their bodies a horrific fusion of wolf-flesh and chrome plating. Their eyes were solid red sensors, and their jaws were lined with laser-cut teeth. "Terminals detected," one of the Hounds said, its voice a synthesized howl. "Commencing deletion." "Marcus, take the others around!" Silas yelled, his shadow-spear igniting in his hand. "Elara and I will handle these!"

“Its energy interacts with yours. Focus on me.” She tried. She tried to anchor on the sound of his voice, on the warmth of his presence, on the shadows brushing against her skin like a protective cloak. But the rift pulsed again— once, twice— and the air shifted. A sound came through. Soft at first. Barely audible. But unmistakable. A howl. Not like Erevan’s shadows. “We fight.” Kelvin stared at me, shocked. My eyes were glowing silver. “We can’t outrun this forever,” I said. “If I’m the Ghost Wolf, then let me be one.” We stepped into the tunnel as the ground began to shake. Shadows poured in from both sides—cloaked figures, each holding long silver daggers glowing with cursed energy. Flame Hunters. One of them raised a horn to his lips and blew. The sound wasn’t loud, but it cracked the air like lightning.

It shrieked—not a howl, but a static screech, like a broken radio tuning into pain. Vin shot two tranqs into the third’s neck, but it barely flinched. Riley’s eyes blazed silver. She shifted. Not fully, just enough to tap into her primal speed. She dropped to all fours for a second, dashing past the snarling hybrid to sweep its legs. It collapsed, twitching violently. They stood in silence as the last creature twitched on the ground, then lay still. Jaxon’s breath was ragged. “Lorne’s not just experimenting anymore. He’s manufacturing.”
