There’s not a sound in the castle still, but from the distance, I start to hear howls. I rush to the second hidden exit I’d found and wait. It doesn’t take that long for a piercing howl to echo through the night. More howls follow creating a symphony of thanks to the moon. The whole pack howls as one to honor the Goddess. This is going to be the last howl I’m going to hear. As soon as the howl ends, I break away the ankle monitor.
