At twenty-seven, her body was already a canvas — delicate floral pieces on her ribs, a fierce serpent wrapping her left thigh, and a small crescent moon behind her ear. Each one told a story. Each one made her feel powerful. But the new shop she found tucked away in the old district promised something different. The artist was an older woman with sharp eyes and ink-stained fingers. “These aren’t ordinary tattoos,” she warned as Aria flipped through the strange, hypnotic designs. “They carry… energy. Make sure you really want them.”

“Your turn.” “I’m not getting a tattoo.” He shrugged. “Didn’t think you would.” “Oh, fuck you. Fine.” I settled for two small tattoos. One of a pair of cherries with a bite mark above my right breast. “Those yours?” He smirked. “Because I’d bite harder.” I rolled my eyes at him but the tattoo artist found it funny. I got another one. “𝒮𝒾𝓃” on my side, under my left breast.

A pretty love tattoo that looked embroidered with red and green flowers adorned one and bloomed right after each other seated on one of her laps. Without thought, which was extremely unlike me, I reached out to touch the flower. Goosebumps sprouted on her skin along the path of my dragging fingertips. She was as soft as she looked, like a soft moist cream. “Perfect__love them,” I murmured. “Th-thank you.” She said, exhaling a jagged breath when I moved to the other leg, trailing my fingers along the star flower tattoo that looked like they were made of thread, a brilliant illusion created from ink. “They were done by an artist that works close to a club, I met with her a couple of times.”

I asked, trying to follow the conversation as I tied off the yellow string of yarn to start a row of light green. “The tattoo by his eye, of course,” Nicolette pressed. “It’s a love mark.” I glanced up, not expecting to hear such a term, especially not about the stern-looking prince who’d arrived today with his sister. “A love mark?” “Pfft. It’s pure absurdity is what it really is,” Yasmin muttered. “Soren says the entire tradition behind those damned tattoos is a bunch of evil sorcery, plus a lousy excuse for them to mate below their station if they wish. Hell, before you know it, they’ll rut with the livestock and try to excuse it by saying the mark told them to do it.”

A square tattoo with ancient writing, I don't know what it means. Chloe doesn't know. Plus two piercings in both ears. One was like a cross earring and also a few on his left and right ear. "Are you satisfied looking at me Honey?" asked Mashii and. It made Chloe stumble.

Other than Rosé, there’s no one else in the shop. “Can we see your collection?” Cole asks. “We’d each like a tattoo.” Wait, we? I give Cole a quizzical look, he winks at me. “Sure,” Rosé says, retrieving a huge leather bound book from behind her desk. She gestures towards a seating area with a couch. “You can take a seat and take your time.” Cole grabs the book and leads the way to the couch. “I don’t know about a tattoo,” I say, peering at the various designs in the book.

Aarya “Wow! It’s exquisite!” I marveled at the stunning neck tattoo that adorned my best friend Lea’s skin. My fingers traced the lines of the intricate design as I asked her, “I want one too, but I’m such a wimp thinking about the pain. Did it hurt?” Nestled at the base of her neck, where the curve of her neck met her shoulder, was a beautifully detailed wolf outline tattoo.
