A Child of Another Story
I ended the call and strolled out to the balcony with my peace lily plant in tow.
The afternoon sun was like a cozy blanket, all warm and lazy.
Down below, a girl in a white dress was on her tiptoes, reaching for a balloon tangled in a tree.
A boy dashed up, gave her a playful hair tousle, and with a quick jump, snagged the balloon for her.
She grabbed it and planted a kiss on his cheek, leaving him blushing like a tomato.
I watched them and could not help but crack a smile.
Life was good.
