They had built the sword, but forgotten the fire. The rain-streaked window of my Copenhagen apartment blurred the neon lights of the city into a watercolour of loneliness. Another night stretching out, empty and silent. I took a long swallow of cheap wine, the bitterness a familiar comfort. I glared at the holographic angel, his perfect pectorals seeming to mock my very mundane frustration. “Michael,” I said, the words slurring just enough to betray my mood. “Where can a girl get some drugs, sex, and a good time around here?”

“Who are you?” The woman smiled wider. “I’m The Consequence.”

The screen is black, but the room feels crowded. Alex and I stand there, dripping wet in our towels, shivering in the drafty Brooklyn loft. A suit that costs more than this building.

By the time I knew it, lunch time was here. Mysterious Woman I was staying 30 minutes away in a gated community. This place is disgusting and I hate it here. As beautiful as it is, all I feel is the prison that these well-manicured lawns and freshly painted homes are. This is what hell looks like. Pretty on the outside, but ugly on the inside. A car pulled into the driveway in front of the home. The man that got out of the car disgusts me. The woman that was with him was even more disgusting. They rang the doorbell. If only I could kill them both to rid this world of people like them. I sighed, if only I could break free from my masters and the Group, but that will never happen.

Mariana's friend tried to hit on Radon but his glares alone made her compose herself. She turns her back on them and straddles Harden. Harden grabbed her ass as he takes off her crop top leaving her topless and she was not even wearing a bra. "Dumbass bitch." Radon cursed.

“Grandmother.” Niko called out to the old woman who was engrossed in her phone. Unlike other people her age, she was technology and entertainment obsessed. Niko couldn’t remember seeing her either without a phone or a television playing some series. After some seconds, the woman lying on the bed finally managed to tear her gaze away from the phone as she looked at Niko with disgust in her eyes. “You are here.” Niko nodded and before he could say a word, she was speaking again. “I thought you wouldn’t come. After all, you have never obeyed me.”
