December 25, 2024 ~Lilian~ A few hours ago, I had noticed a note tucked between the pages of my book, with a message. It was hot daddy again. Or not. I wasn't sure. I'd like to believe it was him. If it truly was him, then it means he is the same man that blindfolds me in the kitchen. Else, it means Mr. Nikolai is in the picture. I wasn't sure of anything. So, I made up my mind to find out.

Chapter 6: First Night of Passion The moment we stepped inside my apartment, Daniel closed the door behind us and locked it. The small living room felt even smaller with him in it. He towered over me, his presence filling the space. I was still dripping wet from the rain, my dress plastered to my body, but the heat between us had nothing to do with the storm outside. “You’re shaking again,” he said, stepping closer. His hand came up to brush a strand of wet hair from my face. “Nervous?”

“Come on. I’ll take you upstairs to rest.” He stood and guided her toward the stairs. Finn and Calvin exchanged a look. Then they followed right after them. God, I wanted to go eavesdrop so badly. Linda, sitting beside me, muttered under her breath, “Slutty bitch.” That jogged my memory. There was a drugging subplot around this part of the story. If I remembered correctly, Linda was the culprit. She had been secretly in love with Calvin for years, but Calvin only had eyes for Nancy. In the original novel, she managed to drug him, but afterward he turned the tables and dosed her ten times worse, leaving her stranded with no help. She ended up with a terrible fate.

Being surrounded by books, most of them classics or three times older than her, it seemed almost wrong to read a cheap paperback bodice ripper. Without another second of hesitation, I pushed open the door and walked into the unknown… “Daisy” This time it was a low baritone voice that sent shivers to my spine. “Gorgeous little thing” another said, emerging from the darkness with hungry lustful eyes. Evenings have become my favorite part of the day. After dinner we settle in the living room or, on warmer nights, on the covered terrace. Sometimes I sketch while they read or talk quietly about work that can wait until morning. Sometimes we do nothing at all. Tonight we stay inside. A low fire burns even though the air is mild. I sit between them on the large couch, my feet in Zavian’s lap, my back against Caspian’s chest. His hands rest protectively over my stomach. Zavian massages the slight swell of my ankles with steady, careful pressure. “Any movement today?” Zavian asks.
