{ADAM} The club connects with a solid thwack that feels good in my hands. The little white ball flies up into the blinding, blue sky of Dubai. “WOOOOO! YES, ADAM! THAT’S MY MAN!” The screaming cheer from behind me is so loud, it's shaking my eardrums. I turn my head and see Diana jumping near the golf cart, her hands covering her mouth like she just watched me win the Super Bowl. Dave is leaning against the cart, sipping a beer, looking like he’s trying not to laugh.

****** Dhruv ****** While I was busy in the discussion with my best friends my phone beeped with a text. It was Saavi's text. She had recently learned about emojis and she sends it to me always whenever she gets free time in between her work. She has become so obsessed with these emojis that she had painted almost each one of them. She had sent me a confused emoji. I asked her what happened and she replied that she is not able to understand some points in the contract and she didn't type it, actually, she used emojis and I am glad that I know that she uses which emoji for which word.

I couldn’t believe that I did such a thing when I was little. “That was really me, ma?” Our conversation was interrupted when I felt a vibration from my phone. I excitedly unlocked my phone. To be exact, I was expecting a message from Dale and I wasn’t disappointed when his name appeared on my phone’s screen. “Ma, I’ve got a message from him!” I couldn’t hide my excitement as I opened his message from the app’s notification. “Woman, I’m safe. Been busy dealing with company matters. Need your encouragement.” I read his message out loud. What I found more adorable is the gloomy emoji next to his message. He knows how to use this, hmm.

My phone vibrated at that moment, my heart skipped with excitement as it showed the message was from Damien, when I opened it, a single winky emoji stared back at me. And that was all I needed to know, as a secret smile spread across my face. I put my phone away. Who needs hundreds of fans when you have one like Damien? . . TBC
