Then something shifted.
A connection snapped into place, sudden and breathtaking. The wind was no longer just around me—it was within reach. Its passage rippled through the feathers of birds soaring overhead, whispered through the treetops, each leaf brushing against the next in a soft, tickling caress. Far above, where the sky grew thin and sharp with cold, the air held a biting chill that raised goosebumps along my arms.
