He was reading it again.
I looked at this, at him reading his own book, on my sofa, in the apartment that had been cold and was now not, on a Tuesday night in April with the city outside and the candles burning low on the table and six sunflower shoots on the terrace deciding to be tall.
"You're reading it again," I said.
"There are things I missed the first time," he said without looking up.
"Ethan," I said.
"Mm."
"For what it's worth," I said, "I think you've found it, the word."
