Reborn as the Unwanted Mate

Reborn as the Unwanted Mate

I could hear his teeth clatter when the gusts grew stronger. “The neighboring countries?” I asked. “They have also momentarily paused their search because it is too cold now, Alpha,” he replied carefully. “The northern countries are becoming icy. The winter is set to be harsh. Along with that, the men are getting sick.” I closed my eyes for a brief moment. Wolves were resilient, but we were not immune to nature’s cruelty. Patrols had been extended into the mountains and northern forests for weeks now. All for her. And still, there was nothing.

Marked by The Alpha Mated to His Brother

Marked by The Alpha Mated to His Brother

Winter’s POV At first, I think I am awake. Everything feels too real not to be. The cold beneath my feet. The sound of water moving somewhere nearby. The sharp wind brushing against my skin hard enough to make my arms ache. But when I look around, nothing makes sense. The world is dark. Not nighttime dark. Wrong dark. The kind that swallows shape and distance until everything around you feels endless. I stand still, breathing carefully as icy water curls around my ankles. My white dress drags heavily against my legs, soaked from the tide pulling in and out around me.

The dragons unidentified Mate

Mason replied. That Drake can understand. As they both are new to Fairy, it's normal to get curious. "Ok" he nodded his head and looked at Dillon. "I bored" Dillon said defensively. Drake sighed with resignation and let them all come with him. The winter realm is a beautiful place, with snow everywhere you look. It's not the coldness that will catch your attention, but the greenary. Green thick trees are everywhere to be seen. As if they got used to the cold and they like it here.

Blakely
Really excellent story so far. Beginning is a heart-wrenching twist that creates a brilliant setup for resolution. Grammar has some issues but the writing is still far better than most books on GoodNovel. Writer struggles with telling rather than showing in active voice but that takes practice.

Author:Although I have not completed the book yet; I love it because the main characters ARE finally portrayed how it should. Characters are not falling for schemes, following true feelings, and their Bond. Drake, a true hero and mate finally with his head well placed on his shoulders. Great job!

ETERNALLY YOUR MATE

ETERNALLY YOUR MATE

It was winter, and the snow poured down heavily. The ground was now filled with heaps of snow, and the cold wind blew so heavily causing anything in it's path to shiver from the cold. No human would be able to deal with this, no matter how much clothing they put on.

Tales From Lands Far Away.

Tales From Lands Far Away.

"Good. You're a fast learner, he strung up his hood, started walking, and I followed." We made our way through the streets of the city for what seemed like an eternity. The streets were crowded with people going about their daily business. The sun's heat made me tire quickly and difficult for me to concentrate. The thirst and heat made me long for home, where the weather is always cold, windy, and snowy. Snowlandia never gets hot. The seasons are three, the Wintertide, the Rainytide, and the Dogdays which is the least cold of the seasons. The Dogdays got its name from the tradition of dog walking which was done during the season, the heat gave Snowlandians a sense of holiday. Festivals and t

White As Snow

White As Snow

After I was done with her, I was making my way back to my apartment when my wolf nudged me. ‘Can we please go out for a run? I feel like I've been trapped forever!’ That's my wolf, Snow. Honestly I feel bad for her. But it's not really my fault I have to roam around disguised as a human. We know what can happen if we slip up. It is very easy for my wolf to cover up her scent though, one of the perks of being a White Wolf. After thinking about it, I decided to let her out for a few hours.

Dream World

Sometimes the kingdom is in the winter season because their mother, Fria, makes it winter so that Sybb and Laggas, as well as their own people, can enjoy the snow. "It is really beautiful..." Sybb said and looked at the beautiful East kingdom as they near it. This is the most beautiful thing that I have seen in my entire life. He thought. But, he didn't know that he would be taking back these words when he met ‘him’. … "Sorry, mom, dad, brother." Sybb apologized and sighed as he sat on the fountain. They grimaced. "It is alright." They told him. "You got tired because of the excitement earlier..." they muttered.

Surviving Snow

Surviving Snow

A slight smile creeped on my face. Flash back “ Commander Robins, I secured the target, obtained the answers we were looking for. I don’t think the target is of much use to us anymore. It looks as though he is touch and go. I had to use extreme measures to get the answers we sought. He was tight lipped for a while. The primary target is located in the middle of the Arctic, held up on one of the water rigs used for aquamarine sciences. He stated that the target has about 20 armed guards. 3 that follows him wherever he goes. We had schematics of the rig right here, sir.”

Lost in the Snow

Lost in the Snow

" His eyes were ice-cold, his voice filled with nothing but disgust for me. I drifted into the corner of the room, devastated. Shawn was right. Staying alive was not easy. Even when the avalanche came for me, I fought to survive. To punish me, he tied the knot so tightly that it was impossible to undo. He even stripped me of my winter gear. I struggled to untie myself but failed. I forced myself to stay conscious, hoping someone would find me. He had forgotten that, before we climbed the mountain, I had just donated 800 milliliters of blood to his mother.

The Winter He Lost Her

The Winter He Lost Her

“What should I do?” The assistant was caught off guard. It was the first time Nick had ever asked him for advice. He stood up quickly, speaking carefully. “Sir, you might not like what I’m about to say, but I’ve been by your side for eight years. I’ve seen everything you and Ms. Winters have gone through.” He paused to study Nick’s face. When he saw no sign of anger, he went on. “You two once loved each other deeply. You survived countless storms together, but you couldn’t survive the quiet. Ms. Winters won’t come back once she’s gone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ken Follett's 'Winter of the World' is the second book in his Century Trilogy, and it packs a punch with its sprawling historical narrative. Set against the backdrop of World War II and the early Cold War, it follows multiple families across different countries as their lives intertwine amid global turmoil. The characters are deeply affected by historical events like the rise of Nazi Germany, the Spanish Civil War, and the atomic bombings of Japan. The storytelling is immersive, making you feel the tension and heartbreak of the era.

What really stands out is how Follett blends personal dramas with monumental historical moments. You get to see how ordinary people navigate love, betrayal, and survival while the world around them crumbles. The scope is massive, yet the intimate character arcs keep it grounded. If you enjoy epic historical fiction with rich detail and emotional depth, this one’s a must-read.
