I pushed the door open just in time to see someone holding the chest in his hands. The chest glittered slightly under the moonlight and I needed no one to tell me it was made of gold too. Nor did I need anyone to tell me that it was the shadow thief holding it in his hands. He was dressed in all black and in the darkness, I could feel his eyes on me. Fuck, I was already too late. I lurched forward, about to reach for him when he flew through the window and disappeared into the dark. “Fuck!” I screamed as I pulled at my hair and stared into the darkness.

He was immediately removed by the security as he protested. Closing the distance, I slid in smoothly, a smirk playing on my lips. "Mind if I steal a dance?" I murmured, close enough for her to hear over the music but not loud enough to disrupt the vibe. Her gaze met mine, surprise flickering in her eyes before she broke into a tipsy grin, nodding eagerly. With a gentle tug, I pulled her into the rhythm of the music, our bodies moving in sync. While we danced, conversation flowed effortlessly between us, Lily turned around and grinded her hips onto me, she felt so right against me, I drew my hands around her body loving hwo she felt.

“Next time, prison won’t save you. I’ll wipe you and your daughter off the face of the earth.” Lucien’s grip tightened around the phone. “Is that a threat?” Dylan chuckled again. “I’m Dylan Vance, I don’t make threats… I erase problems.” With that, the line went dead. Stephanie’s eyes were already red with unshed tears. A notification pinged as Lucien glanced down; it was a location, attached with a photo of Elara on a bed, her wrists and ankles bound in cold metal cuffs. Lucien’s expression hardened and without a word, he locked his phone and turned away, heading toward a small space with the loud hum from the fan and clothes scattered carelessly.

Boro squeezed the other man's throat tightly to make sure he knew he was referring to him. "Cheating me out of my coin wasn't good enough? You had to rob me while I slept too?" He squeezed harder, the man's face began turning blue. Boro dropped the man, who fell to the ground gasping and clutching his throat. "You all will give up banditry, or else I will come back to your village and kill every last one of you, and your families too." Boro declared loudly, his eyes fell to the short man's, his sword still at his throat. Of course he had no intention of going back to that village, or killing their innocent family members, but fear was a good motivator for men like these.

“Stay behind me, Lila.” As the customers ran away, Blackthorn s dark laughter echoed through the night. “Hyperion. Always the hero, always so predictable,” he taunted, stepping forward with confidence. Shadows writhed around him, creating into tendrils that flickered in the light. “You should have stayed out of my way.” “Enough games” Alex growled, his voice low and threatening. “Let the people go. This isn’t your fight.” “On the contrary,” Blackthorn smirked. “It’s always been my fight. And tonight, I’m taking something that is important to you”
