A Luna's Revenge

ABIGAIL POV’s

The sound of someone screaming woke me up from my slumber, I checked my broken watch and realized it had been only three hours since I closed my eyes for a nap,

“ Abigail!!” the voice yelled again, Warily I stood up to go outside when she barged inside the tiny hole where I slept. Her countenance indicated how angry she was, immediately her hands gripped my hair tight, making me cry out in pain,

“Why on earth are you still asleep? Aren't you supposed to start preparations for the arrival of Alpha's son!”

Madam Doreen’s voice echoed,

“ I'm sorry, I went to sleep late,” I tried to explain but was cut short when a slap landed on my face, I could taste the metal as blood sufficed my mouth.

“Shut up and get on with your duty you useless sl*t,”

Without hesitation, I rushed out to the kitchen to start preparations for the ceremony later. This has been my daily routine as a slave here in the Glow Star pack.

My life was never like this, growing up I had a perfect life with caring parents who loved and cherished me until everything changed on that faithful day. Our pack was attacked by another and my father, being the Beta at that time, was away with his family on a vacation, everything happened so fast, and upon our arrival, my father and mother were accused of being traitors who disclosed the pack's information to the assailants that attacked the pack.

Both my Father and Mother were sentenced to death while I was brought to the pack house as a servant or pack slave just as I am mostly called which suits my life better; pack slave.

The son of our Alpha would be returning to the pack, and numerous preparations were made for his arrival back to his pack.

Upon his return, he would be decreed as the new Alpha of the Glow star pack, the Alpha’s son has been out of the country since he turned sixteen, and now he is twenty-two.

The mansion was busy that morning as everyone prepared for his arrival, numerous pack leaders had been invited for this ceremony, and soon after the pack house was filled with guests.

Madam Doreen warned me never to come out to the ceremony, that I am not fit to be there, I shrugged as I washed the huge number of dishes in the kitchen after preparing all the meals for the ceremony. My wolf Shira has been acting up since last night and I did not know why, and I had this weird feeling.

“ He is here!” I heard the servants whispering among themselves as they ran out to catch a glimpse of him.

Curious to see him I also ran out, as I peeked from the window I noticed a man sitting on a single sofa, who I assumed to be the incoming Alpha. He was dressed in black cargo pants with a white long-sleeved shirt tucked in his pants, my gaze moved to his face and he had no expression on.

By his side sat his mate, I heard he met her at a summit back in Tokyo.

I too longed to find my mate one day, maybe then I would be able to escape this fucked up place called a pack.

My view was cut short when I sighted Madam Doreen and I immediately ran back to my room.

Hours later I lay in my room with my book in hand reading, I was not meant to witness gatherings like this, but Shira my wolf had been restless since dawn, pacing back and forth in my head, “Please can we go for a run,” Shira begged, hesitantly I agreed.

I moved further into the Woods and far from the pack, being an outcast in my pack, I was not privileged to shift according to others, so I did it discreetly.

I quickly took my clothes off as I initiated the shift, I groaned in pain as my bones restructured into that of my wolf, and my all-white wolf darted into the woods, while I retreated to the back of her mind.

We ran for a few hours until we were exhausted and then shifted back, I put my clothes back on when I smelt it,

“ Mate!” Shira screamed in my head, as the sweet scent of Pear mixed with chocolate hit my nostrils, My entire body shudders as goosebumps filled my skin.

I looked around trying to track down where the scent was emanating from, My wolf howled in my head for its mate.

My feet moved on there wanting to see who this person was, until I arrived at a spot still in the woods. My heart raced as I stared at a silhouette standing in the dark, I stood rooted in my tracks as he walks closer and into the light shining from the moon down on us, My mouth parted as I took in the beauty of a man in front of me.

Our eyes locked in as we gaped at one another, he was tall with broad shoulders, and his body was heavily built with muscles poking out from the tight shirt he wore. This man screamed nothing but power, He had his hands in his pocket with no expression on his face at all.

I noticed his eyes move down my body, his brow furrowed at my appearance, and embarrassment washes over me with the clothes I had on. Oh! goddess, he was going to reject me! I thought,

I closed my eyes waiting for the words, I knew I was no match for anyone with how I looked, nobody would want a weak and useless pack slave for a mate.

Nevertheless, to my surprise, he yanked me toward himself, his head moved to my neck,

“ Mine,” he growled possessively.
