I was raised to be a beta, and I had never felt the need to rise above the rank of second in command. I was a good advisor. An Alpha had to stand in the middle of the crisis. I was able to step away and look at it from a distance before choosing the right solution. Even when I was replacing Tyrion, sitting behind his desk for months, I could only work my ass off knowing it was temporary. It was as if my ambitions faded away as soon as I got my Beta position. But that was before I died...

It used to be the six of us, including Matteo, Damien, and Dylan. Dylan was Damien´s older brother. Everyone thought that he would be the next Beta, given that he was the same age as Jake compared to me, who was 2 years younger. But it all came down to who Jake trusted the most. Much to everyone´s surprise, he chose me. And I spent every fucking day since that day to prove to everyone that I was the right Beta for the Alpha. And the only time I failed him was when I let someone abduct his Luna.

It wasn't until I was about thirteen, after my first shift, that my parents sat me down with Alpha Rick, and I learned I had beta blood, too. A witch and her clan killed my birth parents. They killed off my entire pack. Only a few of us were left, including Anthony Black, the alpha of our allied pack, the Blood Moon Pack of the North. He was adopted by the alpha, Hunter Black, and his Luna, Abbie. I consider Anthony and his siblings my friends, too. We all grew up together as great friends. It was initially complicated for me. I never felt I had the right to the title; I thought I was stealing it from someone else.

She looked like a hurt puppy, not a Beta. Zacharias could not leave her alone. He took her to the healing chamber to patch her up. "It's her fault you're injured. I'll deal with this in her place." Once Yvonne was patched up, Zacharias tried to come back to the forest, but this time, Yvonne tugged at his shirt before he could leave. "Alpha, you're the pack's most important person. Third Person’s POV Lance looks like your typical Beta: large, muscular, a little smaller than an Alpha, and he has a strong, dominant beta aura. Andre, on the other hand, doesn't look like your typical Commander. He is much larger and more muscular than your typical Delta 1. Which is why Lennox was shocked when he looked to his right and saw a Delta taller and more muscular than he was. Lennox looked up at the man in shock. His nose flared as he tried to smell him again, thinking maybe he caught someone else's scent, but he didn't. The man definitely smelled like a Delta, and a strong one at that, which meant he is a Delta 1.

Edward suddenly brought up an issue was it possible that the Beta might try to stir up trouble for them.
